like the game, coop just severely disappoints me

I remember being willing to give the AC franchise a shot mostly out of respect for the consistent quality Fromsoft had shown in the titles I've experienced. It is a good mecha game, simply put.

Pretty good DLC for the money. Excellent and awe-instilling map design, decent story, and the bosses are very manageable supposing one takes the time to properly explore and evaluate their build components. I don't remember how long it took for me to beat this DLC, but it couldn't have been more than a week's time.

My only gripe is with Radahn. I don't believe having chip-damage following most of the basic swings is the brightest idea FromSoft has ever had alongside a handful of other things about the fight. This is coming from the perspective of someone who effectively ran with a sword-and-board setup - backed by an array of buff and offensive incantations - for a majority of the DLC. Even then, I only prevailed against Radahn due to getting the last few pokes in behind a shield when things were down to the wire. From a certain perspective, one could argue that it sounds like the fight was balanced just about perfectly. While I don't disagree, the subsequent attempts I took with Radahn versus another boss like Rellana felt noticeably different, favoring the latter. Parries and aggression felt viable with Rellana, even taking into consideration the transitionary phase and the dangerous, but predictable, combos. Parries felt more like an option for Radahn. Yes, they helped in the 1st phase, but the moment 2nd phase hit, it almost felt like that effort was for naught considering he now throws out delayed, holy chip-damage, ridiculously fast fake combos, and pseudo-nukes alongside what he had in the 1st phase. I just feel that if the goal was to get the player out of the usual "combat-trance", they did a little TOO much in that regard.

Otherwise, good game.

Don't get me wrong, I love this game to shreds. I got this gifted to me for my birthday by a longtime friend and it is the most fun I've had in any type of shooter in a long while, even taking into account all of the shortcomings that have come and gone. However, I really miss the days when a corporation left the playerbase the ♥♥♥♥ alone and didn't try to slip one in our asses because they want to feel good about themselves. I am aware that the PSN signup may or may not have been stated from the beginning, I really don't care though.

Working for intergalactic space Bezos is pretty epic.

It's alright in my book. Makes a bunch of questionable or downright awful decisions but also does a bunch correctly and adds some improvements to what was established in DS1/DSR.
