Very good nostalgia game, keeps the same style and storytelling as the old ones, which is a good sign.

Review

So, this game just came out of Early Access a few days ago, and it deserved to, because the game looks good enough to be out already.

If you never played Terraria or Starbound, to which this game is most similar to, you have for sure played, or heard about Minecraft, and this game is like Minecraft in 2D, but with way more content.

You may think of it like a copy of Terraria/Starbound, but no, it has many gameplay differences, those that make the game unique in its own way.

Rating:

8.8/10

Pros:

  1. Having two specials separate tabs, where there are 2 for fighting and one for building, for me was the most unique thing in the game, making it easier to split your fighting from your building.
  2. The Research Table was also something really new to me, where you have a piece of furniture where you learn to craft everything possible to, and where all your recipies are safe and sound.
  3. The Art and Music are pretty heartwarming and really good for a game design by such a small Developer.
  4. The skill tree is something that the game incorporated to define it from the other similar ones, where Terraria, for example, has multiple weapon types, this one has several skill points, making possible to have several buffs at the same time.
  5. The game is being constantly updated, with a team of Developers that, even though they are only two, if im not mistaken, they care a lot about their game, and take a lot in care what the community tells them.

Cons:
  1. The game is not very Early Game friendly, too strong enemies with skills that you cannot fight against without proper equipment.
  2. The game lacks a proper tutorial, it does have some tips in early game, but it doesnt prepare you enough for what you will face.
  3. Before you have any skill points its pretty hard to do anything underground, unless you have enough dirt, for example, to build your way up again.

Early Access Review

Review

We find ourselfs with another Early Access game, and one really good and very fun to play. This game, that we can consider a Dungeon Crawler, more or less, also has a Co-Op option.

The game is simple, you have various classes, you pick one, choose your gamemode, and there you go! Some classes are locked, probably to be unlocked with proceeding in the Adventure Mode.

I personaly did not try the game in Co-Op, only in single player, but i have to say, i enjoy'd it a lot, even though its simple enough, its fun to play, a nice game to spent some time, either if you only have 10 minutes, or some hours.

Rating:

8.7/10

Pros:

  1. A lot of Weapons to choose from, and to improve even more, you have Boosts to add to your weapons, like faster bullets, bigger bullets, many Buffs. You also have Items, where some are potions, melee weapons, bombs, a great variety.
  2. You dont have much health, in other words, the game becomes quite challeging, even more if you choose Hardcore Mode, instead of normal.
  3. As i said before, you have 4 gamemodes: Adventure, Dungeon, Arcade and Deathmatch, each one different in their own way, but every single one is worth playing.
  4. Lots of bosses, depending on your weapons and skill, you may find them easy, or extremely hard to get by.
  5. Steam Leaderboards, which is a nice adition to the mix.

Cons:
  1. You may have many weapons, but on the main ones (Pistol, SMG, Shotgun, Rifle), except the pistol, where you have unlimited ammo, and start only with it, if you pick up ammo from those other weapons, you receive the weapon itself, instead of just the ammo.
  2. Some of the bosses are too strong, and pretty hard to kill, and in Dungeon mode, if you get the bad luck to get a small floor in a boss level, you lost it, because, without space to run/dodge, you cant survive long enough to kill him.
  3. Some bugs (i only experienced one game crash though), but its Early Access, so its expected.

Early Access Review

Review

So first of, this is a Early Access game, in a Alpha state (in my opinion it can be considered to be in a Pre-Alpha for some more weeks, if the patches keep on coming) with the genre of Sandbox and Survival.

When you start you get all the tools you need to gather resources, build a house, or a castle, or whatever you want, use your imagination. You can also use Terraforming to chape the world with your own hands, so, go build that underground city you always dreamed of.

Yes, Early Access means some bugs, but every game has at least one, even the finished ones, so expect some on this one. But the Devs are pretty active, and many of the reported bugs are fixed in the following patch, so, the more feedback you give, better the game will turn out to be.

P.S.: I have around more 15 hours of offline gameplay, mostly on singleplayer mode though.

Rating:

7.2/10

Pros:

  1. Very active Devs, who listen for ideas/sugestions/bug reports, and more, and patch them, or implement them, as soon as possible.
  2. Terraforming, in other words, the ability to change the world around you, its a powerful tool at your disposal
  3. The Map Seed, which means, each map has its own number, its Seed, and if you found a amazing world you can send the number to a friend for him to play in the same one (without your modifications to the same).
  4. Several classes to choose from, each one with his own backstory and lore.
  5. The art is amazing for a Early Access game, we can see that they gave much time in that area.

Cons:
  1. The Tutorial. Or better yet, the lack of it, it may be a sandbox game, but we still need to learn how to play it.
  2. The controls either for construction and for movement, after a while you get a hang of them, but still hard to use them.
  3. This game requires a High-Spec computer, which means, a lot of people wont be able to enjoy it with maximum fps.
  4. Its a Alpha(Early Access) game, but in my opinion, its still on a pre-alpha level, but with the help and feedback from the community, soon enough will be a Alpha level game.
  5. In my opinion, the game is a bit overpriced, i see this as a 10/15 game max, so the 20+- pricetag i think its a big push.

Early Access Review

So, dont forget that this game is in Early-Access. You will probably think the same i did when i first heard of this game: "Minecraft with magic and flying!". Ok, you dont have the liberty of destroying the "World", but you can "farm" some of it, in other words, you can't dig underground or destroy mountains. You also have at least 3 different Biomes, a Forest Biome, a Desert Biome and a Ice Biome.

The SinglePlayer is still pretty simple, only having around 7 quests, but you do have a Tiger pet with you, which is amazing! One thing i loved here is that you can create a Golem, and give it life, so that he can do what you want him to (you can create Golems on Multiplayer as well).

In the Multiplayer you have a tool that, in a radious of 16x16, only you can create/destroy, making that space always yours. I already saw a giant bridge between islands, the tallest tower ever, let your imagination fly for what can be created next!

Rating:

8.0/10

Pros:

  1. A large variety of materials, either by farming them, and even more by using them. You can place Nature (wood) in your Oven to create not charcoal, but fire, and by farming that fire, you can then use it as a weapon, for example. And not only fire, you can also collect Electricity, Wind, Ice, and those are only the "Magic" elements.
  2. The Dev is always aware of the community opinions and feedback, which is great.
  3. The Music blends in perfectly with the ambient you are in, and the Graphics are pretty nice as well.
  4. Steam Workshop, so you can create skins for you, or use some already made from others.
  5. Multiplayer, where you can see the incredible creations of the community, and even help making more.

Cons:
  1. The lack of a tutorial is the biggest one, the SP has got quests, but not the same thing.
  2. Some bugs, but its still early access, dont forget that.
  3. Combat AI is too simple, very linear, and so far only two types of enemy (i could find, at least).
  4. As i said, there are quests, but theyre not even 10, so you can do them really fast.

Early Access Review
Single-player game (for now) where you simply build words out of letters. Pretty smple game, still in Early Access, so expect a few bugs and missing words from their dissionary. In overall, it's a game where your kids can learn english easily.
Recommended specially with those with small childs, or to those starting to learn English.

Early Access Review
So, this game is a strategy game that involves lots, but lots, of social interaction.
I'm not saying that it's bad, it's an innovation to have a game based on social communication between players, in other words, the "team" that communicates better, has a better chance to win.
The tutorial explains all in a very dynamic way, and it's a must for you to start playing, i tried online right away, was totally lost.
It's advisable to use a mic to communicate, and thats easy to understand, you're busy playing, not writing.
I liked the concept, but for you to have the full experience you need to interact with others. Like i said, not against that, but would prefer for example, a single player mode, or a 1v1 game mode, for those who do not enjoy to play with other, or just those who want to practice alone.

Still, fun game, not many bugs for early-access, hope to see, like i said, a single player mode, or 1v1 mode.
Overall, i would give a 7/10

PS: i dunno if it was me failing, but i couldn't make the laser walls sometimes, maybe they were to far, or not in the correct line. I think the laser walls, after the first one is placed, the other could have an option of default places to the sides of that one, just a tip.

CS:GO Review
So, i decided to edit this review since an "honest" review it's more helpful.

Being one of the most profitable game for Valve, they want to keep it like that, so yeah, expect many operations, usually +- 5€ each, around 2 a year. This latest operation was bad (Bloodhound) because of only one thing. Operations usually were about doing missions to get drop, but drop worth getting, like 0,50€ minimum value, to say the least. This one was pure luck, i had friend who didn't get more that 0,06€ skins, and now you can only get 1 skin a week, before were more. In short, they want to reduce the skins/cases drops, which i find stupid.
Next, we have hackers, and i have a theory about this: Valve wants cheaters. Simple.
Exemple, a cheater gets ban on his account, he buys a new one, cause yeah, these are people without a life, so, each time a cheater gets banned, a new copy of CS:GO is sold. This is easily proved by an ESEA fact. If ESEA, a platform for Pro's to play, needs an Easy-Anti Cheat aplication, it only proves that CS:GO VAC Ban system is slow and unreliable. Each suspected cheater is submited to "Overwatch", which consist in having players with a minimum number of hours, rank and number of competitve games won, review 8 rounds played by the suspect, and analyse if it's really a cheater or not. So, not only we have a system that players have to review the suspected hackers, some hide better and keep playing the game freely, even though maybe around 100k players watch a simple replay and it's by maiory, maybe it still gets reviewed again by Valve employees, dunno about that, but all this, ALL, would be resolved by a simple Anti-Cheat program, but yeah, by my theory, Valve WANTS hackers to play, buy and rebuy the game.
We also have smurfs, but about that i don't have much against, people play in the account/rank they want.
Another thing CS:GO has that is really bad is a temporary ban from competitive matches if you "Kick to many teammates". In short, if you do too much damage to your teammates, kill 3 teammates, kill a teammate on the start of the round, or leave the game, you'll get temporary ban, that start in 30min. up until 31 days, i think (most i've ever seen). Back to the subject, place inmy position: you're 3 premades, the other 2 are not, and one of them is afk, but doesn't disconnect, which means, no Bot. So, you kick him, all vote yes, easy as that, the next 5/6 games the same, either an afk or a troller that you have to kick, and you do. When you try to the the next competitive match, you can't, you have a 30min. ban because you kicked to much. So tell me, would you prefer to play with a bot that you could control if you die, or have a guy afk on spawn, doing nothing? You simply want to have a "decent" game, and Valve doesn't let you, that reason for temporary ban, is stupid and useless, maybe someday it will be fixed, until that day, people will get temporary bans for having bad teams.

But trust me, when both teams are "normal" (no smurfs, afk's, trolls, hackers) you really have a nice time, you enjoy every part of that match, is it a win or not.

Last Review:

"CS:GO in a nutshell:

Buy the game on sale
Die against easy bots
Buy a 0,04€ skin
Die against normal bots
Watch some videos
Die against hard bots
Open a case, gets 0,03€ skin #worth
Die against expert bots (improving on something, at least)
Opens another case, gets a knife, goes betting
Go to a casual, end up 0/0/15
Loses the knife, gives up the game
A friend starts playing, you return
You realize that this friend started playing now, and you suck away more than him
Go competitive with him, round 1 get 7 day competitive ban for killing him
After 7 days, you are still in silver 1, he's on Global Elite
Gives up again for some more months"

Many characters to choose from, from what i've seen the co-op and online multiplayer seems very good (i've only played the game in offline, so, in single-player).
At first i didn't enjoy it because i couldn't find my character in such a mess, but after a while you get used to it. I'm not a very big fan of Western games, but this one is so "different" that i did like.
The gameplay is quite simple, but still fun, the graphics are pixelized but it doesn't ruin the game, in my opinion, it makes the game, the soundtrack is very good as well.

In overall, i would give a 8/10.
