I have been playing this game for 5 years and I cant stop. Every couple of months I always come back for a binge of the greatest kaleidoscope of carnage since Serious Sam. Plus the community is fantastic.

Look just buy it. I legitimately feel like I've ripped the devs off for the measly 20 quid I gave them in 2015 and they're still pushing out new content for free, so for he first time in my life Im writing an utterly dickriding steam review as a way to show my appreciation to the devs.

TL;DR slaughter fun, buy game.

A game that has the balls to charge real money for even the slightest bit of customisation beyond the three standard avatars, so almost everyone looks exatcly the same, wont even launch into a game until youve wasted about 20 mins.

Maybe think of making your game playable before you brag about all the great stuff you can pay for.

Adding to that, its primary gimick, the "ultra customisable" weapons, boasts getting to customise such amazing features like "fully automatic" and "semi automatic", you know, the ones you can normally change by pushing a button in most modern shooters. Basically you have 4 options: rocket launcher, lazer gun, assault rifle, and non hitscan assault rifle. The more minute customisations are expensive and bring little variety, not even worth the money, a fact you realise on the rare occasion when you get into a game and realise blasting with the standard free full auto mode is just as effective in the 3rd person circle-shoot cluster♥♥♥♥ that is the combat.
