Insane value especially for owners of WH1 when you combine all of the content with Mortal Empires.

This game is good, despite bugs, devs are constantly updating the game.

There is one problem I see with people not liking the game, and I think there's a lack of direction - you aren't clearly told what to do and in what order - which is a good thing, I hate tutorials holding my hand. I am playing on challenging mode (3rd from hardest) and honestly don't have any problems as I just opted out of doing some fights when I realized they weren't meant to happen at low level..

You also need to be versed in dnd rules to figure out how you're going to build your character and party, even if you do just continue with their base kit, you have to know what's good and what isn't for your composition and plan ahead.

All in all, I'd call this a less streamlined approach than PoE - which ramps up the difficulty but enables much deeper character customization, plus kingdom management. They fixed some of the issues already, like handing you alchemist fires before the spider swarm mission (very early in the game they are problematic).

Honestly, if you knew how to handle yourself in BG/PST/IWD you'll feel right at home here and this game will be very enjoyable. If you're used to rpgs with more casual mechanics it might be hard to swallow at first.

Developers are about to abandon this game to make a separate, battle royale game that you have to pay for.

I can't reccomend a game from a studio that went to town with the sale then decided to do a 180 with their decisions and jam the CSGO microtransaction model in an indie game that ALSO isn't a F2P title.

I've had a lot of fun in this game, coupled with some very frustrating moments. And that's part of a lot of games, but this one has been in alpha for years, and it shows no signs of being released soon, especially since development has almost halted. There wasn't a patch in months and I can't see them suddenly speeding things up.
