Helldivers 2 finds the perfect middle-ground between being silly and nonsensical with all the over-the-top tools at your disposal, writing, and team killing shenanigans, while also feeling totally badass and adrenaline inducing with it's incredible soundtrack, cinematic visuals in seemingly every moment of the game and shocking amount of interactions with enemies and the environment.

It's a visual masterpiece that fulfils such a uniquely distinct fantasy depending on the faction you choose to fight against in any given mission, and it's so much fun to play with friends thanks to their addition of special weapons that become immensely more powerful when manned by two people simultaneously.

Much of the controversy and poor ratings I see nowadays since they resolved the Sony issue are in relation to specific fan-favourite weapons that you unlock incredibly far into the game having been changed or nerfed in ways that later game players really didn't like. Ironically as of the day I write this review, apparently all of the most disliked changes were reverted and other annoyances such as seemingly small explosions sending you into an uncontrolled ragdoll seem to have also been minimised, and so I really have few to no complaints beyond the amount of time you need to invest to get certain weapons or gear because of how the Warbond unlock system works.

Overall stellar game, and I keep finding myself coming back over and over again. Also, Arrowhead, please release your soundtrack on streaming services. Thank you.

It has a decently long default song selection of mostly EDM. The ability to play it with basically any control scheme even VR is awesome, it just requires a bit of messing around with the default controls.

The artstyle is adorable, the game is charming and cute, the music is great, and it's a lot of fun with friends!

Absolutely worth it if you want something new that isn't drastically different from classic Pac-Man gameplay!

This game has an incredibly high likelihood of just not working on your computer at all. One of the most popular community posts is of a save file to replace yours with to circumvent Tutorial bugs, and there are seemingly two infinite loading bugs that make the game unplayable even when reinstalling or wiping your save data. Unfortunately after having owned this game for years, playing it on different computers, and wiping my save files to try and start over again I've never once been able to get it to work for more than one tutorial level before breaking.

The ever greedy Epic Games have been slowly removing every single way to affordably obtain cosmetics in this game ever since they acquired the team behind it.

After stopping lootboxes from ever dropping and only letting players get 5 per time-exclusive event, they have now decided to remove the ability to trade between players from an 8 year old game that had built an entire market economy around its cosmetic system.

The same economy that was already shattered when they decided to add a Fortnite-style item shop and purposely put all the most market desired items into it over and over again to milk the value from it.

Since Epic didn't like that the move only made everything cheaper to obtain, they have decided that after December 2023, the only way to obtain any cosmetics you want is to pay often 10x what that item was actually worth to Epic directly through the item shop. Wonderful.

This game is actual fire, new update added music and colour customization, and the netcode is better than like half the fighting game scene for some reason. 10/10 experience unironically.

This is the most adorable experience of a visual novel, and is positively worth the money. It may be short, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it's incredibly fun and both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. 10/10, I'm glad I got to play this.
