Used 2 times at the beginning of my game. I found 4x4 is unnecessary in the base game.
It scares off the animals in the area and it can't travel far before ran out of fuel (luckily no need to return the vehicle).
This is a huntering game, be prepared to walk (run) a lot in these beautiful environments.
