There's something wrong with Might and Magic Heroes VII.

It feels unfinished, missing the loving polish that Heroes VI had been given. It's a shame, there is something there, but perhaps it was rushed into existence, not yet ready to dazzle us like it's predecessors had.

I'm a lifelong fan of the series, since the days of 3DO, and I was so surprised by how much I loved the previous entry. Someday when I tire of VI, perhaps i'll give this another try, but I fear it will only age poorly.

I recommend you only purchase this if you are a dear fan of the series and want to donate some money to the developers, but do not expect to be enchanted as you have in the past.

Mining's hard work, good thing you're dwarves.

Drill deep, mine that stone, slap Molly's booty and get out of there.

Driller for life.

A brilliant return to the Portal universe, retaining all of the elements that made the first game so fun and throwing in some new puzzle features to add difficulty and spice things up. The story is just as darkly humorous and excitingly cryptic as the first installment, with a few more personalities to interact with. The co-op puzzles are just a little more icing on the CAKE IS A LIE.

I admittedly did not give this game much of a chance, as Diablo 3 came out around the same time, but the main issue I had with the game was the lack of interesting builds. The best way to level your character was to choose one ability and pump all your points into it while occasionally picking up supporting passives for that ability. It turned into a 1 button grind-fest. I'm sure the game has been patched since then so I'll have to delve back into the game before I recommend it.

If you are looking for a small studio ARPG to spend some time one, I would recommend the Torchlight series. This game is just bland.

I only played 46 minutes of this game and that was enough to experience nearly every aspect of the gameplay. The concept is very interesting, but the game is basically a 1 button arpg race. Swing and a miss.

The second installment of the Borderlands series adds very little in terms of gameplay or story. I bought it and played it for a few hours, but quickly grew bored with the stale quests and loot. If you couldn't get enough of the first game, this one should keep you entertained, but if like me you find yourself without any desire to return to the Borderlands, stear clear.

This game is quite possibly the best in it's genre I have ever played. The gameplay is solid, the world is vast and interesting, but what makes this game brilliant is the story and the characters. Bioware proves once again that they are the master crafters when it comes to creating epic settings filled with realistic and interesting heroes and villians. I could go on for pages about every little aspect of this game, but instead, go buy it and play it, whatever it costs now is an incredible bargain for one of the best games in the history of PC gaming.

Riding on the coat-tails of similar first person RPGs such as Bioshock, Dishonored has solid stealth gameplay and a great atmosphere, but the story is definitely lacking. I got it as a gift so for the price of $0 it was a great game. I wouldn't pay more than $20 for it having played it though.

Those familiar with the first Dark Souls can view Dark Souls 2 as a more user friendly PC expansion on the original game. The gameplay remains largly unchanged, players may choose to focus on miracles, sorceries or good old fashioned steel as they progress through a cryptic hallow world. The multiplayer has been vastly improved and PvP feels much more balanced, but overall Dark Souls 2 feels like more of the same. The first game still outshines in terms of ambiance and world design, however.
