I just got bored in the middle and couldn't bring myself to continue playing. It's bland, the combat is fairly uninteresting, and the story is not compelling.

This game is awesome, but it ruins a lot of movies/TV shows that treat space travel like it's an ocean. Once you play this game and realize everything is orbits all the way down, you'll wonder why spaceships in movies don't have to adjust their orbits and plan intercepts or wait for transfer windows.

This game is a shining beacon of hope in a dystopian world mired by microtransactions, greed, DRM, and anti-consumer practices.

I've played the original MoM, and I've played the remake Worlds of Magic/Planar Conquest. This new version plays very similarly to the original, with a hex-grid rather than a square grid. There's been lots of new features added in a recent update to include new wizards, races, and racial bonuses. There's still some wonkiness with auto-battle predictions, but honestly the original didn't have any autobattle option at all, so it's a win.

Overall, if you enjoy the 4X genre and/or the original MoM, I recommend this remaster/remake, especially considering the active development it is receiving post-launch.

It's a fun RPG with character customization, stealth and combat mechanics, and an interesting story-line. Graphics are not bad at all with a good PC. It checks all the right boxes for me so far!

Great game, ideal for those who play turn-based due to having obligations outside of gaming that may interrupt you. Gameplay is very easy to pick up and understand, but the game does have a high skill ceiling due to the variety of relics and abilities available.

If you've ever played Diablo 2 and LOD "back in the day," you've probably experienced the addiction known as D2. The game wasn't just fun, it took over your life. That was over a decade ago, and even though the game is still extremely fun, there's only so many times you can play one game. You might wonder why I'm talking about Diablo 2 in a review about a totally different game.

This game is the spiritual successor to Diablo 2. It carries the same visceral art style, the same rush you get when something good drops, the same opportunities to make a fortune by trading online. This game is what Diablo 3 should have been, and it's unfortunate Blizzard looked at an extremely successful game and said "hey let's just scrap all that." GGG, on the other hand, has not disappointed. GGG has kept immense support for the game with frequent leagues, balance patches while still keeping the game free to play. Even if this game wasn't F2P, I'd still have purchased it.

Gwent was a lot of fun. I feel like I played Gwent for 30% of the game time.

Early Access Review
For years, I've waited for a Master of Magic remake. Sometimes, I fire up the old DOSBox and give it a go just because it was that good. However, it's easy to see that while the gameplay of the old MoM game is still great, the graphics and engine are very dated.

Thus, Worlds of Magic was created. Worlds of Magic can be thought of as MoM v2.0 as it takes almost all of what we liked in MoM and re-imagined it in a modern setting with better graphics and more intricate spells/AI. There is a lot of depth to this game, and it definitely does a good job setting itself apart from other 4X's out there. I've played Warlock and Warlock 2 as well, but so far I have my hopes set on this game to finally resurrect the spirit of MoM from the ashes.

In it's current state, there are plenty of bugs and glitches. However, the developers are actively working to fix them and are releasing new builds extremely often. I will say that this game is certainly still in development, but I was satisfied with what I've gotten so far for the price tag. I can't wait until the game is finished.
