"This War of Mine" is a anti-war 2D shelter survival game, you follow a group of survivors as they try their best to survive and scavenge resources in the midst of a war. During the day, you use materials and/or resources to build and improve your base. During the night, you go out to spots marked on your map to scavenge for resources, these spots can range from harmless, to extremely dangerous with armed people who are willing to kill you.

I find surviving and scavenging the destroyed environments of the game pretty captivating. You get bits of lore from abandoned notes, or written words on walls, making exploring the different areas of the game somewhat interesting. The environment is also really well designed, making this post-war world very believable. Exploring new areas, searching places and going back to base with an inventory full of stuff is always satisfying.

However, I feel that this game could have offered more in terms of gameplay, but especially base building. The base building feels very limited, you are unable to rotate/flip directions of your furniture, and you're also limited to a grid by grid building layout. There is also a lack of furniture and overall base pieces, you are also unable to destroy certain builds like the guitar once placed. This really limits the base building aspect of this survival game and prevents you from really personalizing your home, I would have really preferred it if you choose your starting house layouts, or expand/build your house from scratch with more furniture choices. But I digress, as since this is not a big focus of the game.

Gameplay-wise, the game is very easy to pick up, you do everything in the game by clicking; moving your character, scavenging, attacking, trading—you get the point, super general. Asides from that there's not really much to say, the gameplay is just scavenge materials at night, build base during the day, and survive as long as you can or until the war is over. The only real challenge is surviving encounters with hostiles, and managing your group's condition (hunger, tiredness, ect.).

The game also has this really fitting look for it, I especially loved the sketchy-blurred look of rooms your player can't see, it makes scavenging new places a lot more engaging as you can only hear footsteps/noises and can only see your enemy if they see you. The game just has an overall look that works! The designs, textures and models all fit the decrepit environment of a war-scarred city, and fits the atmosphere and setting of the game perfectly.

All in all, "This War of Mine" is really interesting survival game with easy to learn mechanics, good and fitting graphics, interesting locations and events, but a lackluster base building system.

Absolver is a very unique indie fighting game and had a lot of potential, I really enjoyed my time playing it and spent about 200+ hours in it on my old account. I don't even know why I bother writing a review, considering this game has already pretty much kicked the bucket, but here goes.

The first thing I found neat was the feature of customizing your own fighting moves/decks and the fighting mechanics themselves. The game punishes button mashing and bad deck combinations while rewarding good combos of moves. It's also always satisfying to build a move set and experimenting with it, each move animation flows well with another and the fighting as a whole is really smooth and well done.

The fighting in Absolver also has quite a bit of depth, with mechanics that can prevent you from being pummeled 80 times in a row by a god tier deck. Such mechanics include feinting, blocking, parrying, absorbing and dodging, all of which have the potential to be very effective if used proficiently. You also start with a limited amount of moves you can put into your deck, you discover new moves as you fight different NPCs, bosses or players and learn the moves from them. There's also a shard mechanic which rewards dodging and landing successful hits on your opponents, these shards will let you use abilities, powers and/or weapons that you have equipped. Winning a fight will also grant the player a certain amount of XP depending on who you fight, leveling up gives the player an "Attribute Point" which can be spent to increase stats like Strength, Dexterity, Vitality, Endurance, Will and Mobility and allows you to refight bosses at a tougher stage to unlock new moves or gain more XP.

The game also has a cosmetic feature that increase/decrease stats like movement and defense. This isn't really a big part of the game but it's still cool to have. I have spent countless hours just playing dress up and messing with cosmetic combos, as well as seeing the different, cool, and funny outfits of the community (looking at you, r/fabsolver).

I think one of the biggest killers of this game (besides being a niche genre, and never really having an audience to begin with) was the pricing of it, it was simply not worth 30USD and as a result, the game was mostly only bought during sales and the people who got recommended this game were hesitant to buy it. It simply did not have enough content to justify the 30USD price tag, a more reasonable price would have been around 10-15USD. The game is still relatively shallow, with only a few PvP modes, a small amount of boss NPCs, and a single PvE campaign. Speaking of which, the Absolver: Downfall expansion was actually a really fun addition, I had a lot of fun fighting through the different dungeons and it's bosses with friends, and it could have been worth the price if more of these "expansions" were added before. Unfortunately, Downfall had been the only expansion, and it did not spark much interest in the game nor did it bring in any new players, and I feel that this was the point Sloclap had decided to abandon development of the game.

It's a real shame that this game has died and more so that it never really gained much popularity as it truly had the potential to be a masterpiece of a fighting game, a great Co-op/PvP/PvE experience, and it would have been fun to see the fighting styles of different players, and seeing their absurd cosmetic combos. Rest easy, Absolver.

Fun game with pretty amazing visuals, you can chose different sports to play—skiing, wingsuit flying, snowboarding, and paragliding just to name a few.

The map is also quite large, there are many interesting and beautiful spots to play in and a sufficient amount of starting missions.

Accompanying songs as you play are also always pretty nice to listen to, and gets you pumped and in the mood to do tricks.

However, it's quite a shame that there isn't more default missions/challenges, and that so much content is locked behind paid DLCs, I very quickly felt that I had ran out of new challenges to do. But other than that this game is really good and I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a fun sports game, or are just wanting to try new, fun games to play.

Bought this because I enjoy and wanna support the game, but it would have been nice to have this available in my library instead of a separate app in the game's directory. Or at least show an option to launch or play the music through the base game.

For those that can't to find it, it's an exe file called SongsOfReignsWin in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Reigns.

This is a pretty cool game, but it could really use some polishing and tweaking.

Gameplay is easy to pick up and the game does a good job of teaching you the basics and how to get started. Graphics look really good most of the time, but during the middle of the day it looks bleak and desaturated (even with ultra settings). There's also a couple visual and clipping issues here and there.
This game doesn't have much depth, it's mostly just survival and lacks other stuff to do, so it could get boring for some.

Now, these are just my personal opinions on how the game can be improved and some minor feedback, if you think any feedback listed here is unreasonable, do feel free to discuss your views.

[General Gameplay]
- Animations look sloppy and stiff.
- Original islands are way too small and bumpy, limiting base building potential.
- Make loom and furnace recipes separate from the default crafting menu. (Or make furnace and looms interactable to show their recipes.)
- Make island cliff dropoffs less extreme/more realistic.

[Building]
- Rotating walls feels slow and unresponsive.
- Some objects have no sound or indication when they're being broken.
- Building walls on wedges are very awkward.
- Building/breaking walls and floors take way too many hits. (can be fixed by making it so that it takes less hits to build/break stuff as your physical stat gets higher.)

[Minor QoL stuff]
- Sleeping should fade to black instead of gray.
- Camera shouldn't recenter when riding raft.
- Rain looks... weird.
- Should darken sky and clouds more when raining, and add a slight fog. (Water ripples would also be a cool addition :P)

This game is not bad at all, in fact I actually find it enjoyable. I'll also acknowledge that this game is still in early access, and many things will be changed in the future, I will be updating the guide accordingly.

This game has potential and I'm very excited to see where it will go, good luck devs.

If you enjoyed SUPERHOT, there's really no reason not to get this one. It's an improvement in almost every way, introducing new enemies, weapons and gameplay mechanics. The levels in MCD are also, in my opinion, a lot more fun to play in compared to the levels in the original SUPERHOT, you get more environment weapons and the levels themselves feel less confined.

This might have been just a "me" issue, but they also changed your hitbox to make you more "slim". Often in the original game, enemy shots that seem a miss (as they are too far to the left/right) would still hit you, and I noticed that that doesn't happen here.

This game also introduces a new mechanic which allows you to select perks which can change gameplay drastically, helping you with enemies and making it more fun to play.

All in all, this game to me is a definite step up from SUPERHOT; it's more polished, has more features, and is overall more fun.
