I'm not sure tbh 😕 I play 1.12 but there's a cooldown ❄ between attacks now, each tool does a set amount of damage that increases with the quality ✨ of the tool(diamond cools down faster etc), axes do the most damage but have the longest cooldown, followed by swords. If you land an attack while falling from a jump then it's a critical attack that does double ✌ damage, a diamond axe crit can one shot most mobs. my parents are getting a divorce and my dad told me I'm the reason :(((((( there's a shield you can hold in your "off hand" (dual wielding is a thing now 👍) right click to use it and it'll block 100% 💯 of damage in your focus, great protection. axes and swords have different types of attacks too 😃
