You and your friends need the exact same DLC to be able to play together. Not the person with the least DLC has to host, straight up need the exact same game versions or you can't join each other at all...

Left my old review from the first month of the game release up below for fun but as of now this game is just not worth it.

Game sizes used to be 60 with 6-7 rounds. they dropped to 40 but still had 5-6 rounds. Not ideal but still fun enough.

Now with the games being reduced to 32 with only 3-4 rounds in a game it just feels short. It's made EVEN SHORTER by the rounds now instantly ending once the "win limit" has been reached. How are new players ever gonna learn if you don't let them try the courses?


The game just does not carry the same weight anymore. The rounds just feel like rapid fire with no consequences cus it only takes 10 mins to with a whole game so who cares if you fail during the last round?

At the time of this review I've played 14 hours over 3 different nights. I've ran into one MAYBE two blatant hackers and have gotten a crown (full win) every night. Even if they are there they don't affect your experience so don't listen to the negative reviews from whiney people who are frustrated they suck.

This game really is an absolute blast. There is nothing more satisfying than winning a race or finally getting that crown but all the fun you have in between is priceless. Never had so much fun failing and the way it lets you just instantly fire into another round without delays is amazing and keeps you wanting more and more. Game is great on your own and even better with a couple buddies. 10/10 would screw over my friends on roll out or tip toe again and again.

Bought the game and went to install. Says it needs 100gb then only downloads 32?
Whatever.
Get game installed and start it up. Launches in a dumb window so I think it's a launcher? No it's the actual game.
Stupid.
Try to join anything. Any game mode including single player and the game just closes. Not crash. Just closes for no reason.

All the negative reviews are right this game is just not worth the time. Devs are clearly more interested in pumping out new stupid gimmicky content then making a game that works.

Uninstalled and refunded. Don't waste your time with this nonsense.

This is not Final Fantasy. This is a boy band/potion spamming simulator. Don't even bother.

I have almost 300 games in my Steam collection and countless others in physical copies. This is by far the absolute worst game I have ever owned. I only paid $0.11 CAD, I only bought it for the super cheap cards and badges and I would STILL say it was a waste of $0.11. The only reason this game sells at all is because of the trading cards.

Why this game is horrible:
I not even gonna bother breaking down how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the graphics are or how you can't change a single thing in the options other than sound volume, engligh or russian, and windowed or fullscreen. All of that would be excusable especially for the price if the game itself wasn't so ♥♥♥♥. The control (yes no "s"... it's not plural.) which is just left click and only left click to jump (no option ot change remember) is horrible inconsistant. Your character does different spins randomly which menas someitmes he tucks in and makes it and other times he just..... doesn't..... The sprite is also just very awkward, it's too wide. It seems as if your character leans forward to the right but jumps from the back or left part almost from behind the sprite. So when you go to jump over something you seem to make it but your back end just randomly hits the object.

All in all I know this game was supposed to be a quick money grab meme level badge booster of a game but the fact the dev couldnt put a tiny bit of effort in to make the literally ONE mechanic the game has work, is just absolutely pathetic.

Don't give this prick your money even just for the cheap badges, there are lots more games just as cheap you can level up on that actually deserve the money. Screw this game, it should be removed from steam....

I know everyone is gonna cry that I barley played the game but I was instantly unable to get past the fact this is was a space game and I was unable to fly up or down..... You're just stuck on a 2d plain. That is just absurd for a game focused entirely on flying a spaceship.

Everything else about the game looked and felt great so if this isn't an issue for you then by all mean definetly try this game but the lack of a y-axis just makes it boring as hell for me. You're ability to do cool manuevers is basically null turning combat into a boring game of spin around your opponent.

Sorry again if these things don't bother you then definetly pick up this game but that was an instant deal breaker for me.

I played for about an hour which consisted mainly of:
-finding logs on the ground in stead of chopping down the hundreds of bloody trees around me? Why?
-shooting all of my 9 arrows at 1 deer and still not killing it cus the hit boxes suck but deer are apparently also god beasts who can take a head shot and still prance around like nothing happened? What?
-let's not forget that 90% of the time I played was actually spent just slowly travelling on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ raft....

This game has potential but as it stands it's a boring sailing simulator. I feel like I'm playing windwaker all over again.
I understand this game is more about the journey than the destination (or building, ect.) But when the journey is at least over 5 mins of me boringly dragging the steering a little to then left then a little to the right while I watch an island barley grow in the distance, it's just not fun.

As it stands I just can't recommend this game. Even as a relaxing leisure game. I was filling my time with other things while sailing and it was still just super boring. I will check back with this game in the future and maybe repurchase it then but I CANNOT recommend this game until they fix the boring long sailing - nothing happening sequences.

P.S. since so haven't played this game long some might say I didn't give it enough chance and maybe once you get a bigger ship or get to another area sailing won't be a ls dull but the fact remains that for now, at least I'm the beginning, the sailing is so long and boring that it sucks all the will to continue. Oh and I bought this FOR a fun little sailing game so ya this shouldn't be an issue. Please fix this and make it not as long or somehow more interesting when sailing.

It's about time you did this and you know completely fix your hacker and probably most of your desync issue.

Review edited on Dec 28 2019. Game is still rampant with hackers, possibly the worst it's ever been. I haven't died to a player with a normal name in weeks.

Still don't know why I'm still playing. Still not worth it to get into now.

This game is actually really well done. Lots of replay value with all the different routes you can take with lots of different dialogue. No two runs should ever be the same.

*WARNING* I actually did not enjoy this game as much as I would have thought. It's a neat little game with a rich story but that is where I had the problem. I was expecting for this to be a quick little game to pick up and go but the amount of dialogue can be VERY overwhelming. Some times it was great. Other times all I wanted to do was get to the next city but I was bogged down with screen upon screen of dialogue and story. Most people might not have an issue with this and will really enjoy it but thought it was a bit much.

To summarize this really does feel way more like an interactive novel than a game and I just feel like they don't make that obvious enough in the descriptions.

Buy this if you are ok with a lot of reading, like read a few pages of story to do almost everything (expect shop) and you want a great story. Don't if you have read one of these articles saying it's easy to pick up and drop because it's not. If you only play for short periods you will forget the story and what you were doing and the constant reading will feel like you never get anywhere.

To all the people bashing this game in the reviews over the controls, try a controller in stead of the mosue and keyboard... This game may have been released on PC a year after N64 but it was originally meant to be played with a gamepad. With that said keep in mind this is an OLD GAME and you may have to tweak some controller settings. (look into how to do it with big picture this helped me immensely) I would like to repeat THIS IS AN OLD GAME, some people seem to not be able to look past this. This game is not going to be good if you hold it up to todays standards it's bloody 20 years old FFS people!

This game may not focus on one thing and some people may feel like that means they don't do anything well but that's not really the case, at least in my opinion. This game is supposed to be a sort of a story-linking-sequel-prequel to the movies. The point of this game was to give you the overall starwars experience. Want to take down a giant mechanical camel? We got a level for that. You want to run around (and admittedly not really get to aim yourself...) capping people, we got a level for that too. Want to shoot at tie fighters with a turret while your robot drives? Got a level for that too. How about a speed bike race where you will probably crash everytime you try and go top speed? Got that too! The replay ability in this game is not going to be just trying to beat it on a harder level it will be just going back and playing your favorite levels again. I personally never liked the shooting ones as a kid but I found them quite enjoyable this time and I will continue to bust out a quick speed bike run when I get a hankering.

The point is this game is NOT going to be perfect. It is 20 years old and was made to fit on an N64 cartridge. Is it a fun bit of old school gaming with acutal unique cinematics (rare for an N64 game btw) and it's own story? (ok it obviously piggy backs off the movies quite a bit but still enough of it's own story to be worth playing) YES it is!

Buy this game if: You used to play it and want a bit of nostalgia (although if you still own the N64 verion just go dig it out of your attic and play it in stead), You want to complete your virtual collection, You want more (now apparently not cannon but screw you disney) EU story, or if you just want some good old retro gaming action.

Remember people this game is as old as half of you and will have its querks so just try a controller and make sure to play with its setting and you will have a good time!
