dont stress it. usually if you start running straight toward them, you will get within bbqs safety range of 32m (i think) before they get the hook, and be in a better position to save than anyone else. if hooked i assume im dead and happy if randos come save.

thats kinda what im doing, i think what gets me every single match is the bbq range thing. literally every time i die its because im doing a gen, almost 100% and then the killer comes over and hooks me and then either my teammates dont save or i get farmed or sometimes its a safe unhook and the killer just goes for me.

doh. sounds like a tactics issue. id recommend tossing on self care, sprint, botany knowledge, and wglf. do gens, and the second someone goes down, hurry to bbq range and prepare a save. being overly bold and altruistic will force you into situations where you will gain the experience to make even better decisions in the future. i hope this helped :)
