Look, I'll just come out and say it: this game looks like ♥♥♥♥. I wouldn't mind low graphical fidelity or quality or whatever but the character designs are all ugly as sin too. I know the characters predate the game, but I really can't forgive this. Also, while I think the voice acting is fine performance-wise, the lines themselves are really embarrassing.

All that said, this really is a solid fighting game and a great way to learn fundamentals. It feels pretty weird at first, especially if you're coming from something like Street Fighter, to not have to worry about highs and lows, for example, but taking that way really lets you focus on strictly horizontal spacing. It does a great job of taking bits and pieces from other FGs (predominantly the Street Fighter series) and stripping them down while still leaving enough meat on the bone to be engaging.

It also has great netcode, and I strongly encourage people to play online, especially in ranked mode. Ranked requires you to win with three different characters in a best-of-five series. Forcing you to learn at least three characters is great because you'll see the fundamentals in each of them and really level up your play overall.

It's probably not a good enough total package to be any experienced player's main game for long, but it's a solid side game, and an awesome game for building a newcomer's confidence.

If you're gonna sell out just let me build a Metal Gear. Fallout lets you build nukes now, let me have my Metal Gear and pilot it around and paint it cool colors and name it something cool like "Jeep"

This might be the first game I ever completed 100% right after launch, and I'd do it again.

It's a brilliant idea. One-hit puzzle bosses you fight with a bow and a single arrow. Unfortunately, bosses that die in one shot to their weak points don't give much feedback until they're already dead. Combine this with the demanding pace of the fights and the fact that the walk back from the respawn point is often longer than the fight itself, and you've got a very frustrating experience.

A few other relatively minor complaints: the character feels kind of sluggish, and I had a hard time aiming my arrow and keeping track of it in flight.

Again, great idea. Good art and music too. Maybe give it a try if you have plenty of patience and you won't be resentful of the time wasted on the walk of shame between boss fights.

A very neat little game. Not much to it, but it's very pretty for a free game made by four people.

It's free and takes like five minutes and it's definitely worth at least that much.

I recognize it's not for everyone, but I guess I happen to be in a position to enjoy this game:
It runs great on my computer and my stick works with it just fine, so no complaints there.
I'm not really here for the single-player, so my experience isn't "incomplete."
I've only had one person rage-quit on me.
It's true what they say about a lack of content. I wouldn't give it a perfect score, but if you're here for the fighting, the fighting is good.
