Looked at this game before launch, decided to hold off after all the reports of bugs and stuff. Finally picked it up with a friend and have had a blast so far. My recommendation? Grab a friend, throw the game on hard mode and work your way through. It's intense, interesting and honestly haven't really seen anything like it.

Let me preface by saying, I'm not one of those anti-walking sim types. I enjoy the ♥♥♥♥ out of artsy games, games that comprise mostly of just a landscape to explore, games that explore the art side of games. They're great.

And so is this game. The graphics are beautiful. The music, while not overwhelming, is great. The story it tries to tell is damn good I think, I'm still not sure what it's about.

When other reviews mention that the game is slow, I presume story wise. Maybe just slow-ish. I'm fine with that. The problem comes with that the slowness actively hindered the enjoyment of the game for me. You move at about the speed of a small snail, and that'd be fine if it weren't for the fact that you have to move through various tunnels.

If the game was just slow movement over panels, that'd be fine. I'd still enjoy it, more as a picture than a walking sim but still. Instead, every time I see a long corridor I just moaned. I would have loved to explore the various parts of the game, but instead of doing that, I moved on asap because I didn't want to walk all that way. This just took me out of the game entirely.

Still fairly barebones, don't expect much more currently than what's in the screenshots. That being said, it is already very much worth playing around with!

Beautiful music combines with wonderful art. Play this alone, or share the experience with a friend. An absolute blast

I've bought exactly 3 soundtracks, and all of them were CosmoD. I can highly recommend anything Cosmo puts up for sale. Literally the next Bach.

It's a good game which purposfully draws paralels between the scene in inglorious bastards which effectivly sets up the nazis horrific actions and the current immigration policy. The way the dev has responded to critisism hasn't been *great* but its a good game and if you have 5 minutes have a play through.

Oh yeah and I'd just like to add to that that for some reason some people complain about "propaganda" or "bringing politics into games". Games are art, and art is often political Exploring politics in video games should totally be okay.

I can't describe this game. This is what the norwood suite and off-peak have led up to. I cannot wait for more, or maybe that's the point. The game is uniquely personal...I think. I have no clue, it makes me feel things and its some of the best art I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

This DLC is imo worth the price, as long as you know what you're getting.

-Cataclysm. I'm way too ♥♥♥♥ at this game to consider doing cataclysm, and I've played since the very start. That being said, if you really wanna push yourself and your team to the limit, cataclysm is the thing that'll keep you playing after legend becomes easy.

-Winds of magic. I found them to be a very interesting gamemode. Like cataclysm, it's something to keep longer-time fans playing. It adds a bunch of really beautiful locations and fun modifiers to play with. If I were better than I am, I would probably play it more. I feel like it was given a bad rep because it started out so horribly. It's good now though, if you can find people to play with. I actually had the best interaction with other players in the winds of magic, as teamwork is naturally encouraged in the gamemode and most people are nice and really talkative.

-the weapons. I'll be honest here, I really mostly bought this DLC so I could play with the shield and spear. They're all cool weapons, which shine in their own right while being very unique and interesting. Throwing axes are unique as hell, billhook is unique as hell, shield and spear is the only shield ker can have. It might sound dumb, but they're worth the bucks honestly.

-The beastmen. Because of how fatshark is a great dev with good business practices, you don't "need" this DLC to play the map. If you play quickplay for a while, you'll come across people that are hosting and do own this DLC. Because of that, I've played through the map and against that faction plenty of times before getting this DLC. They're not exactly unique, the biggest flaw being that the only boss they have is the minotaur. The banner mechanic is pretty fun, and something none of the other factions have. Having to deal with arches, something no other faction has either, also adds a lot of uniqueness. It's not worth buying the DLC for them, as you'll meet them plenty without it, but I'm still glad they're in the game.
