DO NOT GET THIS GAME. Currently it can brick your PC during loading by shooting up your CPU usage to 100% and you have to hard reset your computer. This happens randomly. There are several fixes but it's all temporary bandaid fix that doesn't address the actual issue.

W helldivers democracy has won

Game started out great. Beautiful pixel art, good soundtrack, and an interesting combat mechanic with timing button presses.

But after 20 hours or so of combat encounters, the game started to get really boring. Story hasn't gotten me hooked, characters were bland and uninteresting, and combat remained the same throughout the game with the same few skills. It didn't help that the timed input mechanic were pretty much necessary. Otherwise your skills would do piss damage and random fights would last 5 minutes long.

That was the biggest deal breaker for me. The same combat from the start, lack of skill variety, and the fact that I had to button mash moonerang for a minute to take half a hp off a random trash mob? That bore me and I started actively avoiding enemies. I would have actually finished the game otherwise if combat was not so tedious.

Overall, had high expectations for the game. Started really good. But man does the combat really turn me off. I really tried to push through the game, but unfortunately I can't stand boring games.

A new entry to my all time favorites. Never felt this way about a CRPG since Dragons Age: Origins. Baldur's Gate 3 took the best parts of what makes a good CRPG, and turned it up to 11. Yet it managed to stay grounded enough not to overwhelm its players with its unfamiliar DnD rules. A few flaws here and there, but overall its easily overshadowed by the its highs. A must play recommendation for any fan of video games. Period. 10/10 easily. GOTY. GOTC. I don't think there will be a game that gives me this feeling for a very long time.

10/10 CDPR proves once again that they can make absolutely amazing DLCs. Hearts of Stone, Blood and Wine, and Phantom Liberty. One of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make in game. Masterpiece.

10/10 great game. Always wondered what it would look like if Persona went the Final Fantasy route of changing combat.

Worst Dragon Age out of the 3, yes, worst than 2. Too much useless content. Timers and stupid grind to make the game feel like it has content. Bad.
