Between the weirdly unsettling but surprisingly palatable surrealist art style, the chill, stripped down tunes, the off-beat, head-scratching writing and many other quirks that were built here off the typical JRPG formula, Hylics creates an uncomfortable surreal world and somehow manages to ease you through it as though you already knew what the ♥♥♥♥ was going on from the start. There's a chill but other-worldly feeling running through it all that few if any games have managed to capture thus far, and for that alone it's something absolutely worth experiencing.

It is short and doesn't leave a lot of depth to be explored, which is a shame. A proper story would be nice, but I'm not sure it fits; it makes too much sense.

Oh, and feel free to crash on the couch.

Very relaxing, perfect for the small hours to relieve some stress and just click on the screen.
There's more depth to the game than it seems, and it's engaging and playable at any time, whenever you want it.
