Worth the money :)

10/10 Helps calm me down after I get pissed off at other games.

If you love the inventory system of Escape from Tarkov and also love the open-world looting/fighting experience of DayZ, this game is for you. Easy to run but at the moment (11/1/23) the game is singleplayer. Definitely worth the money, in my opinion.

As of now I give this game a solid 7/10. The game looks and feels smooth in so many ways... but also feels very clunky and underdeveloped in many ways as well. Graphics are great and I get a good solid framerate (with DX11 not 12) while playing the game. Gun mechanics and design are great across the board, and you can tell that the developers aimed for consistency with realism regarding guns and many other aspects of the game. On the other hand though, this game is still in alpha and still needs quite a bit of tweaking. NPC bodies will clip through solid objects, as well as their guns which negatively effects your score if you can't secure it as evidence. The enemy NPC's seem to also be programmed in a way where they will attack you the moment you have to handcuff another NPC. This probably isn't too big of an issue for most players, but it is for me since I prefer to play alone (without friendly AI as well). One big thing I really hope they introduce into this game is some sort of reward system. As of right now, the only thing you can gain from doing well in missions is a better score on that mission. You don't unlock guns, skins, nothing... so it tends to get boring for many people when there's nothing to grind for.

All in all, I do enjoy this game, and I think there are quite a few people that could enjoy it too. But if you don't see yourself putting more than 4 hours into this game, you might want to wait until the game is more developed, or it goes on a decent sale.

All in all, this game is pretty great. When I first started playing, I was getting really irritated at all the bugs and the incredibly insane bots. But the more I played the more I enjoyed it. I can't wait to see where this game will go in the future. I'm really looking forward to the point in time when they put Sandstorm on the Steam Workshop so I can download mods. All in all the game is really great if you ignore the bugs.

The Forest is an absolutely amazing game. The way that horror has been combined with survival and sandbox, it's unlike any other game I've played. That being said, it's super fun building a base and in the end looking at this masterpiece that took you days, weeks, and possibly even months to make. There's a bad thing though... Once you've finished what you've wanted to do, you lose interest in doing anything else since you've done everything you need to. Maybe it's just me, but after I finish making a giant base by myself or with friends, I start to lose interest in the game because I don't have much else to do.

All in all though, it's a great game, and I would recommend it to anybody and everybody.

Considering that I paid $30 for this game and it ended up F2P, I'm not buying a thing from Daybreak again. The game is dead and the only ideas they have to revive it are make a useless "Car Battle Royale" mode, and make it F2P. JUST GIVE UP DAYBREAK. H1Z1 IS DEAD.

Although this game is absolutely amazing (in my opinion), it's not everybody's cup of tea. When it comes to shooters, I enjoy the more realistic ones (regarding damage and graphics), not games like Call of Duty. I first heard of this game a long time ago back when it had recently come out. I heard of how realistic it was damage-wise, and I wanted to give it a try. I loved it. The fact that I can shoot a guy 2 times and he will die, that makes me happy, unlike a lot of Call of Duty games where you need to empty half your magazine into someone to kill them.

I did start to get bored with it after a while though. Not many people play PvP games very much anymore, and playing against bots can get boring after a while. But once I discovered the wide variety of gun skins, sound packs, and mods for anything and everything, that completely reenergized my motivation to play it. Dunno what it is about putting skins on guns, but it's honestly an addiction. I ramble on too much.

TL;DR
The game is great because of it's realism and customization. You can typically get it for REALLY cheap during a sale, so it's definitely worth it.
