Not even 2 hours in, and I can tell this is gonna be a time sink.

All credit to the dev for this, as its truly an impressive feat so far.

There is still a LOT to fix/implement correctly, but damn if this doesn't scratch that open world Fantasy RPG itch that has gone unscratched for so long.

Loving the skill variety.
Loving the environments.
Loving the overall style.
Loving the performance.
Loving the true freedom-of-choice in everything you do.
Loving the true classless do-anything, become-anything gameplay.

Seriously Dev/Devs, just keep doing what you are doing, its bound to be something truly amazing.

GET THIS GAME. SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT.

Prepare to either be convinced to buy this game, or become an enraged snowflake because my opinion differs from yours... Much like the premise of Cyberpunk 2077's greatest selling point, the choice is yours.

I can honestly say that I believe all the negativity coming from reviewers at this early stage of the game (and I do NOT include the console issues, I'm reviewing for PC only), is mostly due to hyping the game up and expecting way too much..

When all is said and done, it's still only a game. It has it's ups, it has it's downs. For me personally the pro's far outweighed the cons.

So instead of reviewing what I believe to be a masterpiece, according to OTHERS expectations, my review is solely based on my preference, and hopefully others out there that want the same thing are convinced to buy this game.

If you want to feel like a badass, bounty-hunting, cybernetically enhanced ninja or gunslinger, in an amazing open world that (from an aspiring indie dev point of view) is unfathomably complex and detailed and drop-dead gorgeous to look at, BUY THIS GAME. I mean, I played almost exclusively with revolvers my entire playthrough, as long as you spec for it, you can do it. Freedom of choice! From towering Skyscrapers that make you feel insignificant, to slums and alleys that make you want to bathe yourself (perhaps with cyber-ducky and all, I'm not judging) the sheer scope of this game is amazing.

The multitude of emotions I feel when completing the different types of quests (and there are a ♥♥♥♥-ton), to the clear-cut curiousness/confusion for the weird ♥♥♥♥ you see and hear, this game always has something around the corner to surprise/disgust/entice/amuse/all-of-the-above me at any given time.

Even if just for mindless exploration and complete disregard of anything that even remotely resembles a story, BUY THIS GAME.

Now for the Con's.

Yes there are things that stand to be improved, from some questionable DPS roles of so-called legendary high-level weapons and clothing, to AI that sometimes just don't make sense. The game isn't perfect in any way, shape or form and needs plenty of work. But hey, aren't all games usually like this? *cough* Witcher 3 *cough* *cough*...

The skill system also needs work, some weird issues were made apparent to me regarding some borderline broken mechanics that make it too easy (looking at you Cold Blood), to armour stacks that failed basic maths and calculate incorrectly. There is definitely some all-round polish required that would improve the overall experience.

All-in-all, my experience was bliss. I was constantly left wondering "what is gonna happen next", or just plain destroying anybody with a bad fashion sense (turquoise boots with red pants, come on).. I could decide. The why and how, is left to you, and that is what I like.. That is what the game is about.

So go forth, forge your legend and if you should go down, do so in a blaze of glory!

Bloody fantastic!

I only played this game for just over an hour at the time of writing this, but I can already tell that even at as an Early Access Alpha the game is already a great purchase.

The new Organic building idea is something new and exciting, the look and feel is amazing and runs like a dream.

I can only imagine what game like this can become and look forward to every bit of it!

Great idea, very simple.

Back to the core roots of a 2D side scroller that doesn't require button mashing or any complex decisions.

It still requires some work but the idea is solid and simple and I like it. We need more games that cater for a younger age group. Looking forward to any additional releases/updates from this develper.

Run, Jump, Die and repeat. All in the name of the little piggies :).

Although I love the stalking done by jason, being a counselor is a difficult and clunky endeavor.. Movement is very restricted and besides the minor gameplay issues, almost every server I join had non-english gamers.. very difficult to co-ordinate.

I have just over 15 hours on record, and I haven't even scratched the surface... In fact, I am so early into this game's content that if this was a horror movie, I only just woke up from that dream where the monster (that totally doesn't exist but I will later find out it actually does) catches me. The monster is still coming, I can feel it in my bones (giggles commence) and boy is it gonna do a number on me.....

Definately worth anybodies while.
