The factory must grow, the science must flow.
Don't wait for a sale, it'll never happen.
If the tutorial doesn't make you want to improve, this game might not be for you.
It certainly is for me, though.

Maybe I should be doing something else with my life. Instead I am running away from a massive buff duck.

Anyway, this is a lot of fun, and it's free! I've put a number of hours into the previous desktop versions, and it automatically imported my save file without any issue or needed input.

Seems to work well on Steam Deck, too. Doesn't have the button icons yet, and some binds might be a little funky, but that's all customizable anyway.

I didn't think they could make worse decisions for the community. I was wrong.

This game is wonderful, I love it. It's super fun and chill.

However, saving and exiting to desktop has put my computer in a blue screen loop twice now. The second time, I was worried it might not recover. I wish I could play this game, but I'm not gonna risk it again without a few more updates first.

It had its time in the spotlight, but it didn't adapt and now it's being abandoned for a subscription model. Don't waste your money or your time.

I want to like this game, but I can't recommend it as it currently is. It's very buggy (As of this writing, I was stuck in a room with an enemy that just turned invisible and stopped attacking instead of dying, meaning I couldn't clear the room until I managed to match 7 teeth for an aoe attack to hit the enemy behind it), it doesn't save mid-game progress (which wouldn't be enough to dismiss it on its own, but it's just another nail in the coffin right now), there is no back button if you accidentally click to pick up a new spell, the UI is extremely bare-bones and uninformative, many things in the game have to be learned by either trial-and-error (which is quite unforgiving in this sort of game) or looking it up (sometimes core game features will be hinted at on loading screens, but even then, it doesn't give enough context to actually identify it until you've already brute forced it), the animations are poorly-optimized and laggy on slower computers (which doesn't make much sense for something that doesn't seem like it would be graphically intense, although I will openly admit I'm no expert in the area), there isn't an options menu that I'm aware of (not counting the startup menu that's supposed to let you choose graphics settings), and many other things you can learn from other reviews. The game itself is simple and somewhat fun, being a match-4 style experience mildly reminiscent of a mobile game, but overall, I'm quite disappointed, especially given McMillen's previous works. Needs several patches to be worth $5, much less $15.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I've played plenty of this game on mobile and on Nutaku, and in both places, it has a MASSIVE paywall and a very poor, slow energy regen system, and to top it all off, the pictures aren't even that great (at least, relative to the work you have to put in.) Also, the dialogue is garbage-tier and riddled with grammatical errors and nonsensical "porn-speak" about how they feel without it making any sense. There is no story, not even a mild semblance of one like they TRY to do in porn games. At the very least, the grid matching isn't a straight rip of HuniePop, but a large portion of the remaining system is, but with energy limits added that force you to pay, or play at a snail's pace. In short: Don't touch this game with a 10 foot pole, there's PLENTY of better options out there that won't ask for a few hundred dollars to go at a reasonable pace.

Pros:
- Incredible new character
- Fun and powerful new equipment, items and weapons
- New zone with new features that don't feel too gimmicky/contrived
- Incredible new music (although nothing can still top 4-3 in my opinion)
- Low price! (I'd be willing to pay this much for even a little less content than this, given its quality!)
- Oh yeah and the new boss is fun (HOLY CRAP A RAPPING MOLE)
- IT'S NOT EVEN DONE YET AND IT'S AMAZING
- Enhances the content already there without being "necessary" for the game! (I feel that this is exemplary of what DLC should be. It adds new content, adds to the fun, but those without it aren't left behind or feel that they're not getting enough without it. It ADDS, not just costs more to keep the game fun!)

Cons:
- Button combos (like up+left at the same time) seem to be more finicky and less responsive, but that might just be this keyboard or this laptop finally dying on me.
- Many mods aren't compatible (but it's within the first few days of release, it'd be astonishing if this DIDN'T happen.)
- Lack of sleep due to possible addiction (send help)

Overall:
Well worth the money. If you liked this game without DLC, I'd say you're very likely to enjoy it WITH the DLC. I'm still amazed that this level of quality (which is well above average even for games that claim to be in full release) is what Brace Yourselves, Klei, etc. consider EARLY ACCESS. Loving it!
