While clever, the time manipulation mechanic isn't deep enough to make up for the game's awkward animations, unbelieveable dialogue, and stale, predictable characters. Go (re)watch Donnie Darko; it's shorter, less pretentious, and has a time-traveling rabbit named Frank. This game does not have a time-traveling rabbit named Frank. 3/10.

The level of polish on this game serves as a reminder of what a well-crafted AAA game can be. The controls can be a bit squirrely at times, but are solid for the most part. While the story has its peaks and valleys (and quite a few of the story missions are little more than QTE snooze-fests) the world building elements and core gameplay are phenominal. Well paced character progression, satisfying combat/stealth, colorful supporting characters, and, of course, the fantanstically enganging nemsis system. I paid full price for this game - which I almost never do for AAA titles - and it was worth every last cent.

IT'S A CARAGOR!

Transistor is superior to Bastion in almost every way. Unfortunately, it suffers from many of the same flaws as Bastion: Style over substance, poorly resolved plot threads, shaky ending, etc. That said, Transistor is a masterstroke of pacing and presentation. Even a flawed gem can still be pleasing to the eye.

Wonderful, magical, and damn near perfect; Brothers - A Tale of Two Suns is the best furniture moving simulator I've ever played.
