No game since has ever been as extreme as EverQuest. It forces you to work with others and play your role completely. It punishes you for acting recklessly, and forces you to enjoy the experience. Even 20 years later, this game stands out in a field of quick cash grabs or beautiful graphics. Coming back to this after nearly 15 years still elicits joy.
