I overall think this game is okay.

This review is nowhere near as long as some of the other reviews I have made, but I just wanted to get a couple points clear:

This game is an annoying console port. Some settings turned off make the game look better and give you significantly more fps. The controls are so annoying, and the inability to turn mouse smoothing off is forcing me to use a controller to play this game.

I would like to address that the movement is wonky. For example, heavy weapon classes are irritating to get used to because the aiming to hit your target is bound to your WASD/Left Thumbstick where as most games it's bound to the camera (mouse/right thumbstick). Because of this annoying feature, I am stuck using lighter classes like dual blades.

Why can't I watch and play through cutscenes before monster battles with my party? Having to play through the same cutscene, quit the quest, join your friends, pray that the connection gets established, and spend 60 minutes just to kill a monster individually because your friends lag out half way through the battle?

The tutorial in this game is HORRIBLE. I didn't learn much, and the annoying cutscenes weren't skippable, but the dialogue with actually semi useful information is??? Instead of building this ♥♥♥♥ story that doesn't even matter, and in fact, is one of the worst game stories I have ever experienced! I understand that this isn't an American game, I understand that it's supposed to be reminiscent of the PS2/PSP experience, but c'mon! The damn lip syncing and voice acting is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad, to the point where I have to skip every single piece of dialogue.

No wonder this game is getting so many bad reviews, but PS4 people love it! It's a totally different target audience of gamers. Dumb game mechanics, controls, graphics, story, and movement all ruin this game's beautiful sense of visual combat, "levolution" of terrain if you will, and the amount of classes and class trees, etc.

I want to love this game, but don't expect a patch for at least 2 months, because we are talking about CapCom here...

I really enjoy this game! I bought into the reviews and got a copy for myself. However, I played out my two trial hours carefully before justifying if it was really worth $45. Honestly, I think that $45 is a high asking price for this game. I'm not saying it is overpriced, but it's definitely a disincentive to anyone who built up interest for this game.

Compared to other racing games, graphics are great, particle effects are fantastic, sound is really good, and I love the sound effects of scratching against other cars! When it comes to content, there are plenty of tracks, a variety of vehicles (wish there were more), and lower amounts of customization overall. Compared to games like Forza Horizon, the customization in this game doesn't come close. Around two liveries, some visual customization, and very basic tuning are what you are going to get in this game.

This isn't indy game, but it isn't a AAA game, so the pricing is fair. If you see a sale, snatch it up! DLC's are something to definitely look out for in this game, but because of the retail price, I would personally price DLC's as free content updates. Don't pull a Forza and make it a cash grab for consumers to buy different car packs with real money.

TL;DR:
100% The best Far Cry ever made. But, to be fair, 3, 4, and even 5 don't have good stories. Ubisoft is known to have really dumb villians. Games like Watch Dogs, the Division, Far Cry, etc. have really mediocre villians. At least the bad guy in this game isn't a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ helicopter.

Gameplay/Story:
Side quests are actually entertaining, in fact, better than the main story. However, some missions are repetitive and the voice acting and character models get repetive as as well as there is a lack of variety here. The AI is also lacking in this game, but it is in every Ubisoft game. At least stealth works in this game unlike Watch Dogs 2, and boy it sure is fun using 9 shovels to throw at heavy armored dudes weilding m60's. The opening scene is definitely the most memorable, while both endings are dumb as hell. If we perhaps saw more of Joseph Seed and more of what he has personally done, I would actually fear him. However, he just always holds his dumb ass chain while shirtless and he doesn't do anything memorable besides move and talk very slowly in cutscenes. Giving this series four villians made it feel more like wildlands, where you don't give a damn about each villian. By the way, getting shot with bliss bullets and arrows, as well as getting drugged out of my mind works as a way to bring you to each villian, and it is the dumbest thing ever. If they have access to bring you back, why don't they just do it right away when you escape?
John's cutscenes and main escape quests are interesting, while Faith and ESPECIALLY Jacob's cutscenes and escape quests are actual trash. Dear Ubisoft, I don't want to do the CoD4 tutorial mission 5 times with, "Only You" playing in the background. Jacob overall was the weakest villian, with the boss mission being the absolute worst in the game (besides the "good" ending with The Father). Even though I'm giving this game a lot of trash, the side missions and repetitive but fun Prepper Stashes make the game enjoyable, along with your companions and guns for hire. Dumb glitches and horrible flying mechanics also make the game fun. I paid $60 for it and I don't regret it too much. Maybe because I paid full price for Sea of Thieves...

Graphics:
Everything is modeled great, and the game is incredibly optimized. Having all Ultra settings with a GTX 970 getting a steady 60fps is just amazing. Best looking Ubisoft game by far, Ghost Recon Wildlands, while in second, does not compare to this beauty.

Audio:
Audio is amazing besides supressed gun sounds, which sound like pew pew airsoft guns (better than Far Cry 3 though). And OH MY GOD THE SOUNDTRACK is amazing, and never gets old. "Oh the Bliss - Reinterpreted" got stuck in my head for several days before finding the damn name of the song. This time you get two radio stations, and the AI sing along with the cult radio station.

Arcade:
PvP in this game is absolutely dumb. If I ever were to go into the arcade again, I will only play solo or co-op outpost maps, not PvP. I don't hate the PvP mode because their aren't many good maps yet as the game just released, but the core mechanics of PvP are very dumb and way too casual for me.

I have no idea how this game has so many positive reviews. In 6 years, it has maintained an 82% positive rating and I cannot believe it!

Maybe back in 2012 this game was praised for being really good, but damn have things changed or something?

The gameplay is extremely linear. In fact, I think it's the most linear game I've ever played, or at least up there. The gun mechanics are horrible, there are only 3 buttons you need to remember, the narration is so annoying and not needed in many scenes, and OH MY GOD DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE CUTSCENE EDITING. It feels like the editors got bored waiting for the game to release and wanted to go over-the-top on the editing of the cutscenes, and the result is LSD induced ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Random words are subtitled for no reason, the transitions are awful, and the amount of cutscenes overall is just rediculous. After two hours of gameplay, I couldn't take it anymore and had to take a break, because the cutscenes are simply made to give migraines.

Other than all that hot garbage, the music is okay, the voice acting is fine unless we're talking about Payne's narrated cutscenes, and the graphics were fairly good at the time. Other than that, this game is a no-go for me. I've always wanted to play it and I had a chance to from the Rockstar Humble Bundle, but now I know why it's not Rockstar's hit series.

TL;DR:
The game isn't great on launch. The description says, "refines the 'classic' FPS feel" and, "fluid movement" which I would disagree with. The current gameplay does not feel "classic" to me.

Movement in this game is kind of wonky. I think anyone would get used to it after some time, but I would consider it to be a bit clunky at the moment. The fact that you can jump around corners and quickscope someone mid air is just plain dumb, most times you don't have any time to react. The game feels similar to CoD 2 which I adore, however, something just doesn't feel right to me and I don't know what it is.

Menus also take AGES to load. For example, it took me 5 minutes just to load into Training (offline gun range). Connection issues are understandable at the moment as the game just came out, but I personally think that the optimization issues should have the same level priority as the connection issues.

The music and sound design is okay. It's nothing to brag about, but it's just a tad higher than average. However, I think that I will be turning music off if I continue to play this game, as the repeating menu music while queuing for a game is very repetitive. There are some problems with the audio in game. For example, when planting the bomb, it is heard by everyone across the entire map. Also, footsteps appear to be more to the left or right when they are in fact in front of you.

Graphics, more importantly, aren't bad, but the game feels a little washed out (like Fallout 3 or Call of Duty MW2).

I'll continue to try and play this game as I think it might have potential, but currently, I cannot recommend this game. Check back in a couple of days or weeks to see if there are improvements. Bad launches like these dramatically affect the amount of players who will buy your game, and the Early Access Alpha title does not help.

This game is overall, really good. I think that some of the optimization issues that were present at the start were fixed, because I didn't experience any terrible frame rate drops or crashes. However, simple things like tabbing out of the game cause it to blackscreen, and force quitting the game is the only way to fix it.

The story line is alright. I found some parts very funny, however, I can see how some people might have the argument that it has a very liberal viewpoint. But after completing the game, I only witnessed a few minor parts in the main story that hint at this type of viewpoint.

Some game mechanics were defnitely improved over the first game, and the graphics are defnitely better as well. In the end, if there's a game with a soundtrack developed by the God himself: Mick Gordon, the game will be good! Doom and Prey are previous examples within the past year or so that utlize the creativity of Mick Gordon and his soundtrack in this game shows that. Well done Bethesda!

Only reason why this game gets a negative review:
2 days after the beta is released for PC, every other game has an aimboter... EVERY OTHER GAME NO JOKE!

The spawns could be fixed, but in general the game is beautiful! Too bad some gun sounds are recycled from the recent games. Other than that, the soundtrack like in the main menus so far is great!

Hopefully there's more content when the game releases, if there is, I will consider buying it. But wow, the amount of hackers after two days? Unexceptable...

So many ups and downs in the story. I feel like I screw up so many times on so many levels so I rewind and check the other options before I continue any dialogue. I always never touched this game because I thought it was some stupid girl teen drama or something but I'm totally wrong. It's a wonderful game, music, visuals, and obviously the story. So many outcomes to so many scenarios, and it's super interesting to see what others did at the end of each episode. All I know is that I suck at talking to people who are stressed (Episode 2: Kate *ahem* involving a building *ahem*). Can't wait to finish parts 3-5, and realizing that I never played this fantastic game.

Really fun for the first hour or so... Then, it already starts feeling a bit repetitive. I hope they add more content soon.
