I've barely played the game yet, but I'll just say it's worth the price alone for the map transitions.

Yeah this game is good. Of course the graphics and gameplay mechanics aren't as good as Fallout 4/76, but the story, mission selections, and overall experience of New Vegas are insane. Can't believe I haven't played this earlier. I played without any mods, and got over the no sprint mechanic in a few hours. Trust me, it's hyped for a reason. It holds up today and can't wait for a remaster.

Overall I would recommend this game. I enjoy the single-player experience... when it works. There are some really great maps and the flow is great and the game is challenging. The game mechanics for the most part are great. Some things desperately need to be fixed though. Sometimes my AI crew does not listen to my commands and will stack on a door and freeze. I am also struggling hard with PC performance. My PC was considered high-end in 2019, but I still have to run everything on medium to low with DLSS set to max performance in 1080p. The frame rate is consistent and often I dip below 20 fps. Cyberpunk at launch was more of an optimized experience than this game is right now. My last issue is the AI on both sides require work. They can see through walls, pre-aim, and wallbang often. Again, overall I would still recommend but there are necessary optimizations needed for the AI and performance.

Pretty neat. The ending left many question unanswered, almost like they were writing the story while developing the game and then they forgot to address all of the scenarios they created throughout the main story. I'm happy I got the "true" ending, but I do miss the linear story of the first game. All the new important diologue options I found confusing so I was left to guess what their full meaning was. It's like Fallout 4's diologue where you select an option and your character says something totally different. The story kept me entertained so I barely did any side quests. Once you complete the main story, side quests are still available but don't have the same feel since you already completed the game. There's a lot of great game mechanics brought over from the first game with some entertaining changes. In the first game I never explored at night because I was too scared, but in this game there are quite a few more reasons to explore at night which I like. It brings a whole new meaning to the name of the game though. Overall it was a great game. I enjoyed it as much as the first, but I do wish there were more connections between both campaigns and the ending was better explained.

Yooo WTF? I have a RTX 2080 and I've tried 3 different tutorials to get better frames, but this game is so laggy. I barely hit 60 FPS at 1080p and its so stuttery. Beyond the FPS problems, the game is missing so many features of a normal BF game. BF5 looks insane compared to this... What the heck happened?!

Man I love this game, but I cannot recommend the online version. I'm not even bothered by the fact that it has a pay-to-win vibe and there is a mega grind if you choose not to purchase gold. I'm not even bothered by the fact that I have experienced dozens of glitches that sometimes are game-breaking. What I am bothered by is the lack of anti-cheat and lack of motivation to grind. Let me explain.

Anti Cheat:
As you would expect from Rockstar, Take-Two, and GTA V, the level of anti-cheat when it comes to the Steam version of this game is terrible. There are modders, and plenty of them. They will harass you and there is no way out besides switching lobbies, having a VPN, and praying that you don't encounter modders in the new lobby. They can have invisibility, god mode, the ability to stun lock your character, cage you, immediately kill you with explosive rounds, and most commonly, spawn aggro animals. When you are doing sell missions for the trader role in free roam, you appear on the map to everyone as they can try to steal your goods. This feature sucks because it literally acts as an easy target for modders to come and abuse you since they know they can rip time and money from you.

Lack of motivation:
What is the massive grind for? Well first off it's weapons, horses, role upgrades,... and then what? Yeah there's cosmetics, cool stuff for your businesses, but... that's it. What do you do after you get all the top weapons and best horses? I'm concerned that soon I will get bored since there isn't obviously nearly as much content or businesses and whatnot like GTA V.

The game is currently on sale for $10 USD. I think this is why there is an abundant amount of modders/hackers/griefers online at the moment. I bought the online version as it was on this sale since I have the game already on PS4 but wanted to try online on PC. So maybe my experience has had an effect on it. But still, why advertise a discounted game when you have so many issues with the game itself? I Just hope all this lack of effort is being put into the next GTA game.

I reviewed this game shortly after I got it in 2021 with about 40 hours total. I had mixed feelings on the game and didn't recommend it. Even 3 years after launch, there were so many bugs and they would do maintenance at like noon on Saturdays... Some of these bugs I complained about still exist today. If you keep your framerate unlimited and wear power armor in certain buildings, your character will refuse to move sometimes... If you alt-tab out of the game in fullscreen mode, sometimes the game will black screen and you can't log back. Besides these two, Bethesda really has fixed most of the game, but there are still a few bugs that drive me crazy and sometimes it requires a task manager restart (I wish alt-f4 would work). Fallout 1st is such an overpriced subscription, but it does help add useful things into the game (WHICH SHOULD BE FREE IN THE FIRST PLACE). The endgame seems slightly boring. It's definitely a grind, but once you have endgame loot which is relatively easy to obtain, the game can get repetitive and boring. However, I put 60+ hours into it and see myself at least putting another 20 before I get bored enough. Not bad!

Early Access Review
Glitchy nearly a year after launch, but overall a very addicting game. It's similar to the first game but a major graphics overhaul and overall better battle simulator. Wish there were formation presets though.

There are so many things wrong with this game, I could write a list and forget 100 things. However, I think the extensive amount of "Early Access" games I've sunk hundreds of hours into have persuaded my mind into thinking that this game is still fantastic. I know this should be a terrible reason, especially because this game isn't in early access AND it was delayed for so long. It has some seriously annoying glitches, not the funny kind, yet I still am addicted and am loving the story and experience so far.

It is a good game, and only with time it will get much better (where it should've been on release). If you haven't purchased this game yet, I actually wouldn't buy it yet. That is, unless you actually have friends to talk to about the game after you have played. I think that if you give this game some time, a lot of the bugs will be zapped, and some game mechanics might be improved or added. CD Projekt Red may get a lot of hate for this, but can we all remember that the Witcher 3 had the same garbage launch? I feel like this studio has shown great care for us, and they were just a little to antsy to release this game after so many delays.

And if you do wait, you might get lucky and it might be on discount. Since there won't be any multiplayer for years, the singleplayer will always be there. Give them your money later, otherwise throw your money into it like millions already have and deal with the consequences, because I still think it is worth it.

EVEN THOUGH RIGHT NOW AS WE SPEAK THE MINIMAP IS GLITCHED AND I CAN'T FIND MY MISSION AND MY FOV IS -300 TUNNEL VISION AND MY CROSSHAIR IS STUCK ON SCREEN WHEN AIMING DOWN SIGHTS! NOT TO MENTION V DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO SLEEP ON A F*****G BED CORRECTLY WHEN THERE ARE LITERALLY THE MOST COMFORTABLE PILLOWS RIGHT THERE FACING HIM WHEN HE LAYS DOWN!

7/10.
