boring and linear. alt f4'd, uninstalled, removed game from account after spending 10 minutes looking for potatoes to feed to a pig because apparently that's an engaging side quest.

speaking on the boring and linear part; it's way too linear. and it's way too boring. nothing makes this game special. just kill all the bad guys and save the good guys and you win. end stage and queue cutscene. this garbage makes the game a 4/10 in my opinion, but since i heard around 5 hard R's I'll add 5 points, bumping it up to a 9/10

the entire campaign is just the devs sending you on a bunch of wild goose chases from point A to point B. there's a bunch of blockades in each map that hard stop your progress until you find the nearly microscopic key/keycard to be able to move forward. artifically lengthening each maps' playtime this way literally kills any fun you could have as a solo or even as a team. it doesn't matter how much you spread out or use context clues to suss out where a key is, each map WILL take at least 30 minutes of searching for keys if you aren't lucky or if you haven't found a notepad that vaguely hints at where you should go next. this game could have been a dope 4 hour experience but the devs do not like you or the game's pacing. they just like making you find keys to doors until the game ends.

they traded out in depth survival mechanics for simplified gooner rpg mechanics. what was an in depth survival horror game turned into a streamlined rpg with zombies as your main source of xp and sucky predictable loot that comes in stages depending on what level you are. prepare to have less than 60 fps and deal with zombies that spawn directly in front of you. not joking. if you're going to get this game, go to the betas tab and play alpha 15 or 16

gun fights in a universe where guns weigh as much as anvils and movement like you're leaning off of fentanyl and fighting to stay conscious. sprinkle in a little bit of poor optimization 😎😎

im giving it a thumbs down because of the horrible UI and narrative translation that kills any meaning that the story has. this game was very evidently written in another language and translated to english by a guy who was trying to capture the very general idea of an explorative and scientific american man.

gameplay gets repetitive after two hours, however long it gets boring after that is subjective. let's see how far i get!!!!!

download a 100% save file and just have fun with max skills lol, the hardest thing in this game that i died to the most is its own snaggy and unrefined parkour mechanics. there's a bunch of environmental stuff you can accidentally climb up in the middle of your flow, and an entire host of little annoyances you have to play the game to experience. sense of immersion and will to continue playing was destroyed after the 5th accidental bunny hop after a safety roll sending me flying off a building

edit: grew up playing og mirrors edge, hundreds of hours. beautiful game. if you haven't played the OG, play that first.
