EDIT: I've been told that the current patch that has merged the games code between pc and console busted the game with the bugs, not the DLC. I'd still avoid this DLC until these issues have been fixed.

To put it bluntly, no, do not currently buy this DLC. It has introduced a long list of bugs and issues that just mess with the enjoyment of the game in its current state.
Personally, a lot of these were easy to notice on the first run, and really negatively impacted it for me. The audio duping, the health bar being slower and less sleek, the missing rarity highlights on items, the cancelling of sprinting if you ever press tab to look at the overview, the what seems to be odd delay on some character abilities, and the worst offender, the fact that it is near impossible to notice taking damage. They did add a directional indicator, but it doesn't feel the same as the old screen indicator.
Besides the bugs and gameplay issues, or worse issues I have not even mentioned here, some things just do not work. The new elites are a nightmare if you have any AOE for Spites or DOT with Gilded, a lot of the new items feel genuinely weak or worse, the whole section of levels access through the green portal are not only locked to that path, but unrepeatable if you fight the boss at the end and decide to continue, which just feels odd. Cut out the boss, not the whole path.
That being said, there are some welcome additions. The three new survivors seem fun and decently balanced (Seeker might need a bit of a tweak but that just my opinion), the new music and level designs feel and sound great and the new skins that I have seen so far look pretty good!
But overall... Its under cooked, and needs more time in the oven. Give it a miss for now until Gearbox (hopefully) pushes out some fixes for these issues.

A very enjoyable collectathon adventure that does the N64-vibe very well whilst keeping the goofy platformer story that games in that era did well. The movement feels fluid, the platforming feels strict but fair with its ledge-grab, and whilst its a little on the shorter side, it is enjoyable from start to end. And with the secret hunt that can occur later in the game, with the final challenge being part of that too, it felt very satisfying to complete. Would definitely recommend!

Man, even knowing whats coming through Youtube videos, I still get jumped. Its tense as hell, sound is great, and the game and its modes are fun.

Play this game right now. Come for the cringe (ironically so, don't worry) story and characters, stay for the hours you will spend grinding for better times. Definitely worth your money if you like fast-paced card-based action puzzle platformer FPS's. I mean, who doesn't?

Without a doubt one of my favourite 2D Roguelikes gone 3D Bullethell / Action, Hero... Games. Look, its really good. Its such a massive improvement from the already great first RoR than I sunk many, many hours into it on Early Access Release, and I don't regret a minute of it. The Characters are Iconic and Unique, both in their design and playstyle, the idea of racing against the clock whilst also farming to get stronger through items is a perfect mechanic for a roguelike and it has that perfect "one more run" mentality that Roguelikes need. If you need a game to sink time into, don't look anywhere else. Its fantastic.

Early Access Review
I can already tell I'm going to sink a lot of hours into this game. The gunplay is fun, the variety of upgrades and guns themselves always leave you choosing what to take and what to leave, and I love the idea of having your upgrade points also be the points you use to revive yourself, to make you think if its worth it cashing in now, or pushing on to see if you can unlock more.

The game is already extremely polished, and during my time playing it, hitboxes were fair and glitches were non-existent. I know the game is only in Early Access at the moment, but it will definitely benefit from adding more content as it updates (which I don't doubt they plan to do).

If you love those "one more run" Roguelikes, and you're looking for one that yes, you can play with friends, pick this up.

Forget who made this for just one moment.
Forget that this is a huge difference to the kind of Fighting games on the market.
Just forget all that and ask yourself this:
"Do I like fighting games?"

If that answer is yes, you will like this game.
