Incredibly good game underneath everything, an old-school rpg in the modern day.

The DLC everybody is complaining about are inconsequential, and probably have less of an impact on gameplay than the ones from Yakuza: Infinite Wealth, which people didn't have much of a problem with.

There are major performance issues, however, and the game is incredibly CPU heavy. I have a 5600X and 3070. I am running minimum settings with ultra-performance DLSS mode, and I am getting 30fps in towns and 50-60 in open world. I would definitely wait to buy this game until performance issues are fixed, but the game underneath the performance issues is incredible, similar to how Cyberpunk was a great game underneath a buggy, performance-issue-ridden skin.

really incredible game, the live-service model is actually genius with how the "war" updates and changes, and how the token progression system is persistent

the local voice chat is such a genius idea for this game, but the gunplay is also very clean

most freedom in a CRPG ever, and the 5e ruleset is easy to understand and good for beginners. The amount of magic items in the game smooths out some of the weaker classes in 5e and makes almost anything viable.

one of the best RPGs I've ever played and Game of the Year for sure. The freedom to do whatever you want in this game is unparalleled, and the combat is the best I've seen for an open world game, there's always different weapons and play-styles to use so it never gets boring.

The world-building, the atmosphere, the art-style, the music, everything is 10/10.
