A fun game, perhaps a little overpriced!
Going in, I was apprehensive that the puzzles would be too easy, but I think they struck a nice balance on the difficulty. The world and the manor is nice to explore, and there are a bunch of reasons to keep playing!

P.S.
There's a weird bug that has been there from the release where my mouse will accelerate and decelerate (on a sine curve?) based on the angle of my character's camera yaw, making the mouse movement unpredictable and annoying when looking in certain directions. I haven't seen this complaint replicated anywhere. Maybe it's a 2K screen issue (160hz)?

I appreciate this game, and I played through it from start to finish. That being said, It's not going to be high on my list of recommendations. It doesn't deserve a negative review however.
There's a lot of fun to be had. The progression feels well paced, and the dialogue is pretty good!

I think I would have come away from this game feeling much more appreciative if there were more horror elements, and if I had ever actually felt threatened by anything, There are too many save spaces to camp. Combine that with other ways to deal with the horror elements, and they become a non-threat pretty quickly.

Fun game, and really difficult. I sometimes spend an hour without getting close to winning a game, but I'm still managing to have fun.

I might be overly negative in this review, but seeing as the reputation of this game is what made me take the leap and try it out, I feel like my opinion needs to be heard. I went in blind and after 20 hours I feel robbed of my time.

Dave the Diver is fun for 10 hours, but then you realise it's fundamentally not a good game. It massively overstays its welcome, as it tries to do a bunch of different game mechanics while managing to do none of them well.
The ratio of diving to restaurant managing is way off, resulting in diving becoming a shore you feel like you have to do, which is odd when that's what the bulk of the game progression is centred around (It's in the title for god's sake).
The start of the game had a lot of fun with the characters through the dialogue but as the game goes on, dialogue becomes a drag. I read through it and came out the other end having gained nothing.
These are the main issues, and that's basically 95% of the game right there.

If you're looking for an indie game, Go play an indie game. Indie is not just an art style.
At least with AAA you sometimes have a world to get lost in to go along with the repetitive game-play.

Stardew valley is perfect.

I'm happy that people seem to like this game, but personally I couldn't get into it. This is the type of game that I usually like, but the puzzles felt more like shores rather than something to figure out. I was initially a bit cautious about the difficulty, since I thought the concept of the game could lead to some exceptionally tough puzzles that I wouldn't be able to solve. Sadly, it ended up being repetitive and slow.
I enjoyed the boss fights, and although they weren't very difficult, I'm not going to hold that against it since I'm not sure how tough boss fights would fit into this casual formula.
If you are thinking of buying this game and you're looking for a satisfying challenge, I can not recommend this game.
