Mecha + pinball + rogue like mechanic = Go Mecha Ball = a damn good time.

Good times. Much improved from when I first played it several months ago. Much better with friends as well.

It's been 84 years...and it was worth every minute of the wait.

So...I pumped a bunch of hours into Overprime without knowing this existed. I was chasing those OG Paragon feels.

I won't be going back to Overprime...

Thoroughly enjoying this game so far. If you're a fan of team-based hero shooters, this game is surprisingly fluid and fun. Gameplay in terms of combat, maneuverability, weapons and unique hero abilities are solid. Each Mobile Suit feels different, commanding a different play style to be the most effective at each.

Graphics look OK and are admittedly lacking for a 2022 released game, but what is clear is it wasn't the focus here—fast, fluid gameplay is. Don't get me wrong, the suits look great and are detailed in all their glory, but some of the textures leave a lot to be desired.

It's a brand new game so I won't complain too much about the balancing of the various suits. I feel this is always something that evolves and adapts some time after release with balance patches and should be expected at this point with newly released, competitively focused games.

If I did have to choose one thing that could be better, I would say it's the map designs. They are very confusing and truly hard to remember and recognize, even after playing hours and hours on the same map. The issue here is a lot of the corridors look the same and they don't really follow a "natural" flow leaving you feeling lost or hitting dead ends more often then one would like. I think the inclusion of a mini map in the top left of the UI could help a lot here.

Lastly, they need to work on their F2P model. It feels like the devs are really trying hard to push people to open up their wallets. I still don't truly understand how grinding for the in-game currency works and how long it would actually take someone to unlock things for free. I'll give the benefit of the doubt they will figure something out that works for everyone.

TL;DR: If you're a fan of hero-based comp shooters, with fast and fluid combat, you'll be interested in this. With some balance patches and small QOL improvements, I see this one going a long way.
