To be honest I was expecting a downgraded version of Dying Light, but I ended up enjoying this game even more

Great writing that only ended abruptly. Nevertheless, it is an overall beautiful experience worthy to be labeled as a masterpiece.

I really want to like this game but...

Sundered for me is a mix bag, adding rogue-like elements to a metroidvania seems good but in this game I can neither felt the other two. The major areas are fixed and what only changes are minor rooms that consist this areas, and some areas that require a certain unlock can be easily bypass by an upgraded skill.
The gameplay itself is fun here the enemies are not fixed instead they are the ones hunting you down, which makes the start kinda slow, until you experience your first wave of enemies. Thankfully the combat is really good and enjoyable and enemies are nicely designed but lacks variety. The minibosses are just upgraded enemies but they are more fun than the major area bosses which even though are nicely designed all have the same weakpoints, except for the final bosses.
