The gnorps at the rock are free, you can take them home. I have 73 gnorps.

It's really buggy, the story sucks, the game is no challenge on max difficulty. They didn't fix the game they just released an anime and a paid DLC.

Great art style, but maybe not worth the price for 5-6 hours of content and no replay value

This game is very impressive graphically, but beyond that it doesn't do anything new or different from RE7. The enemies all stumble towards you like in every previous RE game. The selection of weapons is the same as every previous game. You still have to crank up the FOV and mouse sensitivity when you start, because for some reason Capcom doesn't understand what those settings are. There's a "cooking mechanic" which is really just a new version of the collectibles in RE7 that you could use for upgrades. Capcom did the same thing with this game as they did with RE7, the first 2 hours of the game are the coolest and also happen to be what is used in all of the marketing. But past the first section everything else is just kind of underwhelming; not to mention the writing is awful.
Your character, "Ethan Winters" has the most one-dimensional, forgettable, action-hero personality. His only goal throughout the game is to: "Save Rose," and when other characters suggest anything that doesn't immediately align with this, his brain short-circuits, he says a corny one-liner and resorts to violence. All of the characters seem to have dementia and forget what they have said to each other, and anything that is an optional read like a note or book is as good as nonexistent. If you happen to find a book on the ground that the comically evil super villain wrote all of his secret plans in, Ethan will react to said secret plans like he never saw it coming. The big plot twist at the end of the game is that Ethan was infected with the mold the entire time, which I thought was already a known fact unless you hadn't played RE7, but regardless it isn't a great plot twist because: The plot is extremely predictable the entire way through and it leaves nothing to your imagination. Overall I don't despise this game, but there's next to nothing that makes it interesting either. It's the eighth main release of a multi-billion dollar franchise that has been doing the same thing for years with only a handful of scary moments in their games, which for some reason puts them on top of the search results for "Horror games." Don't bother with the DLCs either, most of them are the equivalent of mobile game power ups for an already easy game, and the one that actually adds content is extremely overpriced.
