The heck did I just play?!

This game advertises itself as a “horror farming sim” and manages to be lacking in all alleged aspects. It's not cute enough, not scary enough and not polished enough in its farming system and overall (it kept crashing constantly, though at least it saved frequently too). I could have said it's gory enough at times but it was so dark one could hardly find their way (although I've tried adjusting monitor brightness to no avail) which made me have to revisit those repetitive mines for missing clues and waste a lot of time. Do not expect a lot of help from the internet, by the way, you won't find it. The only walkthrough is made by the developers and very brief, to avoid spoilers.

All of that I was willing to ignore if at least the ending was something interesting and well written. I was half expecting the kids to be able to escape peril only to find themselves in a similar situation again. It is instead the shortest, most pointless and frustrating ending of all.

*Spoiler alert*
After going through a lot of trouble to make sure they could escape, the boy dies instantly. The credits roll as the girl escapes alone, only to be immediately recaptured and taken to a place where she is gonna wish she were dead.

Conveniently enough, it seems a lot of positive reviews were made before players reached the ending.

If you're a masochist and still want to try it, make yourself a favor and choose story mode, don't bother with the useless grinding.

The game has potential but needs polishing, especially regarding narrative, scenarios with poor visibility and mobility and the integration of the farm simulation aspect with the rest of the narrative. Perhaps it would have been better to leave it aside completely and focus more on story elaboration and the aspect of suspense. The book "The Hero's Imaginary Friend" could use some improvement, since it's such an important piece to understanding the story. The player who works on the farm realizes too late it's wasted time, since the endgame does not bring any reward in this aspect, unlike most (if not all) of the others of the sort. Linearity also needs attention, which becomes even worse when combined with the simulation side as it diverts focus and disrupts immersion, adding to the feeling of time wasted in the end. This is where the player's journal too could use improvement. I crafted yet wasn't able to use the keyblade (just a side quest, sadly I hear there is no alternative ending) or finish all the farm upgrades (pretty useless at this point anyway but still), even though I searched for a renewable source of bronze throughout the map and followed the guide on the developers' page as a last resort. The trees I planted did not bear fruit until the end, although I used plant growth acceleration several times. The too dark and repetitive underground scenarios had me wishing the game would end sooner rather than later.

A quick, thrilling experience. Brings closure to the previous game (but having played the first is not mandatory to enjoy this one). Buy it on sale and you'll get yourself a great deal.

Not as good as the first, but still worth playing. Kreia is a great character, Canderous is back kickin@ss and also HK-47, whose grumpy lines are the funniest, especially if you've played the first game.

Do you enjoy more playing as a jedi or a sith?
KotOR is another of my all-time favorite games for the light sabers, the plotline (and twists) and the characters. The force is strong with this game.

Well-paced storytelling that leads you to care for the characters whilst making hard decisions in a zombie apocalipse scenery, visuals reminding graphic novel style, one of my all-time favorites! I can't recommend this game enough.
