Great game, glad they have an online mode so I can play when my homies are away.

The soundtrack is a must buy. I had to cop this game a second time; I've owned it free on Epic for over a year and I bought it day one launch on steam to show my support for this mini masterpiece of a game.
Fell in love with the visuals, I quickly went from casual player, to now speedrunning the game off and on.

My full opinion of the game after I completed every ending of 999. I will add a VLR edit review in the comments when I complete VLR next.

The Zero Escape series starts with 999. An amazingly captivating story, you'll find yourself sucked in and later having easily forgotten just how long you've been playing. I clocked 10 hours on my second session the day after I bought the game the night before and tried it out for about 3 hours. It can be quite addicting, and I think it's just easier to play longer as it's not very physically taxing on the body- just the mind.

First thing first I wanna mention is;
MUSIC: 11/10
Straight from the get go, the aroma that surrounds the room when the soundtrack of 999 starts playing hit's like a train of pleasure for the ears and the mind. Soothing melodies and heart racing themes that reoccur as you play through out the VN. Hearing the song for each changing room is a very welcoming array of sounds that will keep your brain neurons aroused while you delve into 999's--

STORY: 10/10 - BLEW ME AWAY.
9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors is a series of wicked events that derive after the mysterious Zero kidnaps 9 individuals for a game. The Nonary game. It is a game where you (Junpei, the Player Character) awake aboard a strange vessel unaware of where you are or how you got there. Immediately a challenge arrives for the Player and Junpei. You must work with your limited surroundings to find clues to help get through the door... A Numbered Door.

REPLAY VALUE:
There are many routed endings. After some hours, all routes can easily be uncovered over time. Unless you really love the game that much, once having beat all endings- I wouldn't see much value in returning to 999- (Besides them waifu titties and the fire soundtrack of course.) As you will have seen every scene, and route played out.


EDIT: I have beat 999; I've watched / read / played out every scene. and with that, I can fully say that I enjoyed the game. Lot's of "Oh wow." moment's, with a pleasantly answer fulfilled ending that didn't leave me pissed off after the fact. Game completion time took me just under 23 hours to 100%.
25 hours to 100% VLR. I can say that in the end I truly believe this series is one of the greater works of art on the market. So many mind boggling things take place. Putting it into words would be spoiling it, all I can say is you have to play both games and you have to do all endings otherwise you won't understand jack! overall. 10/10

Do I recommend this game? Yes. Yes I would. Maybe wait for sale if you think $30 is too much- just think there is two games so the devs are honestly giving a decent deal for the price they are asking for. They even updated some graphical things from the DS version.
If you buy the big bundle deal for all 3 of the Zero escape games- you save $10 instead of buying them individually.

Play for 12 hours in a day just to come home the next morning and you've been raided, only scraps of your base remains.

I only play it sometimes. But when I do, it's 6 hours straight.

Trying to 100% this masterpiece.
Love the saber play as it's rather fluent.
Visually Stunning.
The game features a very Colorful palate.
Good exploration with many secrets to uncover upon the multiple planets.
Very worth the price tag imo.

Is gud game

Don't get too negative over Bethesda's work until you partake on the modded side of the community.
Really brings out the colors within this game.
