Compared to Overcooked!, the base game is not as fun. There are frustrating little details that make no sense. Why are there buttons to raise ramps in the over world? It adds nothing. The DLCs (Surf n Turf and the free Season updates) are more fun and similar to Overcooked!. There's a lot of free updates so it somewhat makes up for poorly designed maps. The new mechanics in the seasons (big wok, sundae, hotdog, hot chocolate, cannon, blenders, BBQ kebabs) add more flavour and variety, where as the base game is just more of the same.
