Probably some of the most blatant false advertising Bungie has done in over a year.

The story is completely nonsensical, focusing on pointless and usually obnoxious side characters that were irrelevant before and after the story was concluded. Strand is used a catch all "Oh this'll save us!" only to be completely brushed off at the end despite 80% of the campaign missions basically using it as a tutorial. Cloudstriders are horribly out of place in this universe, and are obnoxious to be around. The main villain only got screentime in marketing, because apparently they just sat there waiting for us to finish being spiderman on Neptune I guess?

Easily battling Shadowkeep for last place in story content for a yearly expansion. For a premium $40 too? This 'story' wasn't even worth $20.

Absolutely disgraceful launch. 343 has no idea what they're doing trying to make a live service game, and it's painfully obvious here. BTB broken for over a month, horrible desync in multiplayer, broken theater mode, no forge, no co op, no pve modes like firefight, a horrendous memory leak that causes consistent crashes. Oh but you know what works flawlessly every time? The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cash shop.

Stay away.

Absolutely fantastic piece of art, something that has been given more love and care that 20 modern AAA games combined wouldn't even come close to scratching. Worth more than every single penny given. 10/10.

More overpriced, overhyped, and under-delivered slop that Bungie just churns out as an excuse to refresh the cash shop. Wait until a sale if anything, this isn't even worth $25 let alone $40.

I loved Destiny 1, it was my favorite game of all for a while once it finally found its footing and hit the mark of what makes a game like this special.

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep takes what was great about Destiny 1, hacks it into pieces, stomps on its corpse, and shoves half baked, lazy, shallow content down your throat saying "Give us money or miss out." while ripping off Fortnite's battle pass system in the worst way possible to upset as many people as it can.

Forsaken is the high point for this game at the moment. Wait till the Fall to check here again.
