Runs like garbage

The game is far from perfect. It has a lot of flaws, primarily the combat which is extremely janky and made mostly irrelevant once you unlock 'master strikes' which lets you essentially auto-win every engagement, However the atmosphere of the game is really cool, and just roaming around in the world is a really awesome experience.

If you care about historical accuracy the game has many, many flaws on that end, too many to list in a comment. However if you're just a regular player and that is not a concern of yours, you will find very little to complain about in terms of setting and story.

The game used to be good like 4 years ago. Now it's just pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage with a player-hostile economy so bad that it rivals mobile gacha games.

For many years the devs always pretend they listen to pushback from the userbase, but never actually fix any issues. Don't be fooled, they won't listen this time either. And the funniest thing about this is that they literally *removed* the steam icon from the game's front webpage because of the backlash, instead of yknow, actually accepting they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Scummy ass devs

The devs have always looked towards squeezing out as much money as possible. Instead of refining what is already there they kept adding more and more stuff, higher tiers which aren't at all reasonable to get to as a free player, and on top of that made them intentionally lose people money. Now it's not even fun to play most tiers as tons of vehicles got powercreeped to hell since the devs didn't care about balancing any of the new things they added in.

♥♥♥♥ em, ♥♥♥♥ this game. I'd rather it died than kept on living like this.

It's open world dark souls, what more do you want

For someone who isn't a Mount and Blade fan, this game probably is not worth it at this stage. However I knew exactly what I was getting into with the Early Access and all and I do not regret my purchase.

My one gripe would be how both your and your troops clothing dyes are based on your banner. I hope this is an unintentional feature because it makes armies look monotonous and it limits customization quite a bit. I'd rather see my followers and enemies dressed in various fancy colours, and it's the way it worked in history anyway. Uniforms suck

It's a fun game. Map design could be a bit better, but asides from that it doesn't have any glaring issues. Combat system is nice, deep, and skill based with lot to learn. And if you want to have some mindless fun (and ragee) you jump into Frontlines.

I recommend giving it a buy
