Honestly mixed feelings about this game, on one hand, the core gameplay is so refreshing and the new stealth mechanics are (in my opinion) a huge step-up from Payday 2.

On the other hand though, the game is online only which sucks because if you want to play a heist solo you literally have to wait for the game to put you in a lobby - which can take anywhere from 1 minute to an hour. On top of this, if your wifi fails you during a heist the game will kick you out and you will lose all your progress on the heist which can be incredibly frustrating.

I like how doing challenges results in XP gain, but this is now the ONLY way to gain experience - meaning that you no longer gain experience from completing heists and securing more loot no longer has any incentives as it won't give you any experience (unless of course you're doing a challenge to secure all loot). So now the only way to gain experience is by playing the game the way the devs want you to. I really wish they kept base XP for completing heists, if this was the case I think a lot of the reviews would not be so negative and this is the core issue with the game (apart from the server issues).

This game has so much potential and the gameplay feels new and improved, but as it stands there are just too many issues with the game which makes me lean towards a negative review (although if there was a neutral option on Steam I would choose that instead).

TLDR; the gameplay is awesome, but only buy if you are prepared for a painful levelling experience and a bunch of server issues.

I can’t recommend this game. The missions are so repetitive and get boring really fast. If you have a monitor with a higher refresh rate of 60, you’re out of luck because the game changes your refresh rate to 60 automatically. The only way to fix this is by going in windowed, but that has its own problems. The graphics are decent but require a decent pc.

It's better than JC3, not too repeatitive and the graphics (of most the map) is insanely good. Give this game a try if you are fan of the JC franchise.
