If you have a pathological need for organization, maybe with an aesthetic flair, this game is for you. Here you can setup and decorate several homes with loads of items and without having to pay back any loans to raccoons. There is a story told here - you unpack the many moves in a young woman's life over the course of a few decades - and you'll piece it together all while listening to a fantastic, mood-filled soundtrack. (I wish the story aspect had a bit more "meat" to it, but that didn't detract from my enjoyment of the overall experience.) Each residence is full of expertly crafted pixel art of everything from a Rubik's cube to a Wii and many of these items are interactive. This makes hunting for "stickers" (achievements) rewarding. I managed to get 100% after about 16 hours of play, which makes it definitely worth the $20 (and a sale price even better).

Visually, this game is great. That's where the personality lives. But the gameplay is exceedingly tedious. Just loads of running and jumping with a character who seems to run too fast...? Player control is not great. All the "bad guys" just kinda sit there too.

A zombie-themed, Lemmings-like game with excellent animation, music, etc. However, the levels apparently have to be solved with extremely specific, expertly timed solutions (per the developer himself). On top of that you get very little instruction, via tutorial or level progression, on how "things" in the world work (e.g., what doors zombies can and can't open, which walls do or don't break). You end up with a game which requires a lot of trial by error which leads to repeating very lengthy levels and/or running to a walkthough in order to solve puzzles. If the level progression was better, the game would make you feel "smart" but you end up just feeling frustrated.

The game starts up invisible; I can hear music but there is nothing at all on the screen. It does this in regular and big picture Steam modes. I bought this a long time ago, but now it seems to be busted and there's no help in discussions or the interwebs.

The controller support for this game is TERRIBLE. It wouldn't recognize any controller I tried to use (i.e., Steam, 8bitdo, USB NES controller) except for an xbox controller. Even then, the game controls would wink out randomly. Jumps and pogos wouldn't land when I pushed the button. I even watched Scrooge walk into a pit when I wasn't even touching a button. I got a refund. Which was really too bad because the production value is good, but I couldn't play the thing.

Graphically, this game is great. Otherwise, it's just boring. I played it for an hour and there was so much on-screen dialog were I wasn't doing anything and you can't speed it up at all. Then I get sent into this mindless bullet-hell-type combat which was just annoying. The aiming crosshair is so tiny, I could never see where I was really aiming. The keyboard control is really loose; I ended up falling and bumping into walls so much. I wanted to like this game, but this is no Thomas Was Alone or even Hue.

If you have a VR system and enjoy quality 3D platforming, Moss is fantastic! I'm only about two hours into the game and I'm enchanted. First, the protagonist is adorable. When Quill held up her paw for a high five, I was grinning ear-to-ear. Second, every cubic centimeter of the game world is beautiful and incredibly detailed. Even though I'm sitting in a chair in my living room, in the game I'm surrounded by lush forests or dusty dungeons. Third, the story is quite involving and told in a novel storybook-way. And finally, the gameplay is intuitive and responsive. The puzzles are satisfying and Quill actually helps out if needed. Buy this game.

I'd like to also say that I fully support a new 3D VR platformer genre. There is something amazing about watching the action happen "right in front of you" rather than "on a screen over there". Polyarc, please make a sequel and/or other VR platformers.

This game is a fun Metroid-esque take on the classic cat vs. mouse trope. If you enjoyed (Super) Metroid, you'll really like this game which is definitely worth full price even.

The idea of reliving some of the most popular gaming genres of the 80s is neat (and honestly well executed), but the “coming of age” story is unbearable. Again, the graphics are good, but the voiceovers are and awful combination of corny and cringe-inducing which completely detract from the game play.

This game is excellent. I only paid $1.49 for it from the Winter Sale but it is easily worth 10 times that. It's kind of Diablo meets NetHack meets the Atari 2600.

The new content added with the last update adds a lot of depth.
