I thought I found an oasis in a desert of pain. A game and dev that actually cares. Sadly every time I put my hope in a modern game, it is misplaced. I bought the game "soon" after its release, I saw the memes, I bathed in the passion of the community. I don't know if Arrowhead ate the apple of Eden or if PS made them do this once they saw the revenue, but this is the worst thing for either of them. I don't write reviews, if I get something I expect it to be good, I shouldn't have to praise what is expected. For the first time in years, I bought in-game currency as a sign of support (my in-house positive review). Now I find out that I have to link PS to steam. I do have an account, so PS already owns me, but now I have to give them my PC also? Et tu, Brute? I'm at a loss as to what I should do, I love the game, but I hate this corporate sludge. Thank God we gave them our money with enough of a time delay to not allow for a refund. *Update they backed off DEMOCRACY PREVAILED.* I now recommend.

I started playing this game when it was in open beta, I recall getting an allowance for gold. I cannot recommend this game and I do at the same time. I played WOT when this was around and I played this game at the same time. I was always torn between the two. In this game you cannot sell tanks after you buy them, you cant avoid tanks, you have to research AND buy them. I get it and I don't, then they limited respawns for ground vehicles. I didn't feel as much punished in this game for losing, but I wasn't rewarded as much for winning here too. The biggest plunder in this game is that NO vehicles of any type come with FPE from the start. Tell me in what world do war machines go without basic parts? I have such a love hate relationship with this game. I'm a soundophile, there used to be a sound mod future for this game, they axed that.

There are good things, there are bad things. Having said that, this game made me feel bad for shooting a suspect. The sounds the dude made whilst dying, was very unnerving. I never had a game make me think twice about shooting a bad guy, this game gave me that feeling. 10/10
