This game is a time portal back to 2003 and I mean that in the most positive, least George Bushiest way I possibly could mean that.

It's so great to see Doom 64 get the respect it's deserved for years. If you're an old DoomHead looking for a (possibly previously overlooked) fix of the old stuff, or a newer fan looking for a great example of a Boomer Shooter, Doom 64 delivers. The action is fast, the controls responsive, and the graphics look great-just enough differentiated from the O.G. Doom designs that they feel fun and fresh but not overly different. The music and ambient noise does such a phenomenal job putting some dread and paranoia into the standard Doom aesthetic that it genuinely adds a little creepiness to all the splatter and gore (which yes is a little toned down from normal Doom ports, but with the fantastic level design and attention to the gothic and rusty industrial level designs? You'll be too busy being impressed to notice. Overall, one of the best old school Doom experiences out there, and abso♥♥♥♥inlutely worth your time.

An all-time classic of the Adventure Game genre, Day of the Tentacle REALLY shines in this remaster. The art looks amazing, the dialogue is enough to distract you from ever finishing the game, and the quirky completions to the puzzles make just enough sense to keep the typical Adventure Game Nonsense Frustration low. For older players it's an amazing nostalgia trip, and for newer players it may be a key ingredient into understanding and enjoying adventure games.

It's a fun and unique looking game that can immediately draw you in. In seeming seconds you go from the very straightforward tutorial to pouring over your options on how to properly humiliate pop culture homunculi with your friends and loved ones. Definitely recommend, but that recommendation is even stronger if you're looking for something to play with a friend or a group around the monitor, sharing snacks and debating insult strategy.

Great campaign, but could've done with more interaction with characters. Not for those looking for a lot of roleplay with the characters they create, unfortunately. Fun and engaging, but I say that as a huge fan of the Battletech lore going into it. The strategy and tactics could absolutely stand to be deeper, but if you keep moving around and looking for different types of missions, this game can keep you enthralled for hours.

I've played this game with three friends multiple times and will literally never in my life not be up for playing it again. Some people may be turned off by the simplicity of most weapons and maps, or the retro style, but for me it's one of the most pitch perfect chaotic 4-player deathmatch games whenever me and my little gaggle of nerds wanna blow each other up.

Charming, low impact, and with the sense of humor you'd expect from a Double Fine game, Costume Quest really shines. Don't expect the world going in, and you may want to wait for a sale, but everything from the graphic aesthetic to the turn based strategy really tie together amazingly well. A fun and breezy adventure with characters you can near-immediately cheer for a mechanics just deep enough to keep it's short runtime engaging.

Fantastic game. Neat idea for a story and world executed really well. Battle system and fights tough without being too frustrating. Retro graphics fun and crisp. Would absolutely recommend.
