Review Showcase
The Witcher 3 is probably one of the worst games you will ever experience. I don't even know where to start with this review. I'm not sure who the developers think they are, but this is absolutely unacceptable.

Gameplay
First of all, the developers of this game need to go look up what a "sidequest" even means, because they definitely have no idea what they're doing. Sidequests are supposed to be boring, repetitive filler content! Since when are sidequests meaningful, rewarding, and unique? Some even tie into the main quests, and will change the course of the story. They needed to add a few fetch quests or something, really.

The combat is also a very big problem : it actually has depth to it. No longer can I spam the same button to defeat my foes like in Skyrim! I have to use some actual strategy and different combat moves to even have a chance at beating my enemies. I mean there are quick attacks, strong attacks, parry moves, dodging mechanics, crossbow aiming. Not to mention five different magic abilities to use on the whim. Way too complicated!

World Design
The world is huge. It takes about twenty minutes to go from one end of the map to the other, on horseback. The game will take you through huge lush forests, dark underground caves, enormous living cities, entire oceans. Everything is detailed to perfection. It really is an amazing experience just to explore the world they have created. And that's exactly where the problem lies. Once you finish this game and move onto another RPG, everything about it will pale by comparison to the Witcher 3. Every game after this one will be awful. Don't ruin your gaming experiences by playing this.

Story
With a campaign that takes about 60 hours to complete, the story better be good. Well, it isn't good, at all. It's amazing. With a ton of memorable characters and branching storylines, the game offers the player 36 different endings, depending on the choices you make during your playthrough. My measly brain couldn't handle such a complex, intriguing and interesting story. I couldn't even browse Facebook during the cutscenes, since I was too much into it. Really, the story was too good, they need to tone down the quality for the next one.

RPG Elements
Guess what? If you want that new shiny armor or sword, you actually need to "play the game" to get them. You can't just pull out your credit card and buy it instantly. No, they force you to actually complete quests and search for them yourselves. With a ton of different weapons and armor, it's understandable why this could be a huge problem. Think of the hours you will spend exploring the world, the time wasted. I once had to complete an entire storyline with numerous quests and cutscenes specifically made for one piece of armor! Seriously, who puts this much effort in a videogame. Tryhards.

Graphics
Graphics are absolutely amazing, especially since this is an open-world game. In my book, the landscapes and environment should be considered art. It even runs well on decent computers. However, I feel like they should've added Mac support. I mean those computers cost like 2000$ and can't even run this three year old game. Lazy on the developers part.

Overall
My usual approach for RPGs are one to one, meaning that for every hour that I play, I would pay one dollar. If my playtime exceeds the amount of money I payed for the game, I am satisfied with my purchase. Never in my life did I think I would feel like I haven't payed enough for a game. Where are the microtransactions, the lootboxes?

Only reason I'm leaving a like on this review is because of Yennefer.

TL/DR
Game is amazing, buy it immediately if you haven't.

My question is: If you recommend that I wait for a sale on Shadow of the Tomb Raider, why didn't you wait for a sale to begin with?

It's not about how much money you have, it's the fact that rushing to pay full price as a habit allows publishers to release whatever they want, because they don't have to work for the money.

P.S. Really nice to see people still playing Half-Life 2!
