A fantastic tale of how kindness from a little soul can make a huge, huge difference.

My sleeping schedule is beyond wrecked and I was trying to muster some courage to start a game to help me forget my reality for a few while I stared at my gigantic backlog as it was staring right back at me... until I found this wonderful gem basically telling me to play it, and play it I did. It was the best decision I made yesterday dealing with my own chaos but enough of my self-pity, let me explain why you should give this more than just a shot.

The Spirit and the Mouse glued me to the screen from start to finish. It tells a cute story about a mouse (not a rat) wanting to bring happiness to unhappy humans *DiCaprio points at screen meme*.
Why? Do you need a reason to just be kind to people? The mouse doesn't, and they don't care either, they just want to make people happy because the mouse themself decided that's their purpose - that's the reason this game got me so good. If a little mouse can go above and beyond to help some eccentric painter or an overworked pizza place employee so can we, and we don't need to inherit the power of a thunder entity to do so.

The game follows a simple rule - find the humans in need of some happiness, go to the fuse box related to their issue, help the little charismatic lightning bolts with their quest and gather the human's joy all to help Lumion, the demanding thunderous entity go back to the sky after an unfortunate event that got them stuck in a lightning rod. Oh yes, you 'absorbed' some of their power trying to return a scarf to a person that got stuck on the same lightning rod. The mouse's life gets weird like that but it all works for the best as you move forward.

Every character you interact with is a zap of energy! Seriously though, they're all very well written and hilarious in their own way. The puzzles are fairly simple and straight-forward as this isn't supposed to be a hard game, just a great story with wonderful controls as you shock metallic and electric objects and collect lightbulbs around a small French village; the characters are very kind which is surprising since they're supposed to be French! Well, Lumion can be kind of a jerk so yeah, that's the French rudeness I'm used to. lmao

Also it has a super soothing soundtrack and incredible visuals as you visit four different areas of this little French village, as well as this being a great podcast game if you're like me and enjoy games that you can just turn your brain off as you listen to something else. The controls are just fantastic, they're very responsive and the platforming just works! This game is how every game should be optimized - a total joy to play and experience this heartwarming story that helped me understand that yes, kindness is real and even strangers can bring even some sliver of bliss no matter who they are, and expect nothing in return.

Give this game a chance if you like a great narrative, cute characters, amazing controls, playing as French Pikachu (but better!) and dress them in cute hats! I won't ever forget my 5 hour adventure with Lila. It was one of the best experiences I ever had in a good, good while. The 100% is super fun to achieve too, no grinding whatsoever - just explore as much as you'd like.

Batora: Lost Haven is a fine adventure with very frustrating combat mechanics. You have the sun, melee and the moon, ranged. Aiming the moon projectile is beyond dumb on a controller so that's where the frustration comes from, with more on top of it later on the game. I'll talk about more later on this review.

So, I'd say to get this game on sale if you want a game you can beat in a rainy afternoon and have some fun with it if you can get the hang of the combat, which I'm gonna be honest, I just pressed buttons and somehow it worked. This is definitely no Hades so keep that in mind.

The puzzles are super simple and I dig them since they don't hinder the pace of the game... and one thing about the pace, there are some cutscenes you can skip and some you can't, for whatever reason. The same goes for the dialogue which I could simply skip altogether because if there's something I despise in games is slow ass dialogue for a story I didn't really feel interested at all, and trust me-- I tried, even with the choices you have throughout the game, which I saved and tried the different ones for all the achievos but overall I didn't feel affected by them; they're... there, that's it. You get a quick recap at the end but mostly I was like "oh yea that happened". No Mass Effect type of consequences so feel free to choose whatever you think it's best. The characters don't really have a personality sotospeak and you can smell what direction the story is gonna take from a mile away.

By the way, the latter half of the game goes by extremely quickly too which I liked it a lot but I didn't like the last few bosses and their multiple health bars; it didn't feel fun to slog through them with the weird ass combat and a very unfortunate runes inventory system that doesn't... change much how you play the game-- it's just numbers for the most part and the enemies still feel bulletspongy. Oh hybrid enemies are very unfun to play against, just not exciting at all.

To elaborate more on the combat, the game shows you enemies you can damage using your two stances and, quite honestly, the gimmick gets old pretty quickly since you can also mash buttons and come out on top if necessary. I particularly didn't enjoy it but maybe you won't mind it because the combat is my least favourite thing about this game.

Basically, I do recommend it because it's not a bad game, it's just not good either. Batora: Lost Haven reminds me of those simple PS2 games from my childhood and for that, I am glad I bought it and played it to its completion. The game is beautiful and I absolutely adore the atmosphere, however I rushed it, barely took time to explore what the game allows you to (very little) so my playtime is based on going from point A to point B with save scumming for achievements.

An incredible movie with some of the worst gameplay I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing.

Mafia Definitive Edition is one of those games I highly praise the story, graphics and acting. The game is absurdly gorgeous, with the characters feeling alive and the graphics depicting even their pores on their respective faces. It is that beautiful.

The story is just... chef's kiss. The way it is presented is incredible, by having Tommy, the main character, talking to a detective about what happened in his life as a gangster; how he was the wrong person at the wrong time and how things rolled from that point on. Tommy Angelo is a really likeable character with flaws and somewhat relatable issues to us, people in the current day and age in comparison to a man in the 1930. I really enjoyed all the intricacies between the characters and how valuable Tommy becomes to the Don as time passes in the mafia.

HOWEVER... the driving in this game is ABYSMAL. I have never experienced a shi**er driving ever before. The steering is beyond awful, it doesn't stabilize, it doesn't provide a proper control of the bathtubs we have to drive in this crap. It is that bad that I cannot recommend the game in any way, shape or form if you're interested in its gameplay. The shooting is fine, but not playing with the controller if you ever decide that would be a good idea (like I did) but the gunplay is okay. I had to do use the mouse to finish some of the later missions because I felt they kinda ran out of ideas and repeated missions (go there and kill that guy just in a different setting) but it is a remake of an old game by today's standards, we gotta take that into consideration... maybe.

The voice acting is fantastic but I have one pet peeve about it... the long nose breathing after lines. It happens A LOT. I get it, they're all smokers, all mid thirties guys but wow, it does get a bit old after a while. Pay attention to it and you'll see what I'm talking about.

My final veredict is that, if you want this game for the story, just watch a full walkthrough on youtube or at least just the cutscenes. Anything to not drive in this game. So much that there's an option to SKIP some of the drivers just because it can be that time consuming and annoying. Stay away otherwise. They really ruined a game with terrible driving physics because I doubt these cars were that stupid to drive back then.

In particular, F the motorcycle chase mission. What a disgusting piece of gameplay.

This game broke my heart. I genuinely expected something like Hot Wheels: Turbo Racing, a proper classic and one of my all-time favourite games and yet, this game barely has an identity. It didn't take me long to see everything the game has to offer and it's infinitely worse than a 23 year old game. EVEN THE UNLOCKABLES ARE WORSE!

It is my fault for having high expectations but still, what a shallow "Hot Wheels" racer Unleashed is. I'm prob gifting myself the Jester thingy for my review for hoping it was going to be at least decent but it fails at that as well.

Just remake Turbo Racing already. Y'know what? I'll spend the rest of my night experiecing that masterpiece again instead.

The game itself is fun but it seems to be abandoned. The last update was almost a year ago, 12 May 2021 and so far we got nothing.

Decent combat blocked by insurmountable mishaps and bad decisions.

Lemme try this again. I wrote a review about this game but I felt like I needed to give it a second chance... and here I am to tell you not to buy this, now with better words.

SCARLET NEXUS tries to be a lot of things and fun isn't one of them. The combat is the only thing that tries to shine but when the game explicitly doesn't want you to have fun, it simply fails miserably.

What do I mean? Oh, it's probably the worst decision I've ever seen in a game where high octane combat is the main selling point - dodging is awful. You can't cancel your attacks and if you get knocked down, if not dodging, your character takes their sweet ass time, close to 6 seconds to get up.

Also, 80% of the enemies are designed for you to use your allies powers but if they weren't in such an annoying cooldown, things would've been better. You can't unleash your combos because the enemy saw you, hid inside their pants and if you continue to attack, you will deal no damage to them and guess what? You have to turn invisible to hit them and now you're allowed to inflict little to no damage! Yay!
The damage your character does is laughable, even at higher levels. It's beyond infuriating how these enemies negate your attacks, it's like playing Yu-Gi-Oh! and every card you play gets Ash Blossom'd. Plus, these enemies get recycled a LOT and the bosses are just some anime people.
There's no secret bosses, no extra dungeons or anything of the sorts either. The last boss is just... meh. The big statue part is cool but everything else is lame since you fight this dude named Karen multiple times during the game as well. Yes, his name is Karen and no, he isn't interesting nor wants to speak to any managers because he doesn't have enough charisma for that.

Talking about the unvaried anime people, oh gods... I've played as Kasane and I've never seen a more unlikeable main character. She has her personal issues and stuff and never lets anyone gets close but... the bonding system requires the character to be at least friendly, and it feels so forced to see the other characters saying "oh thank you so much for being my friend!" when she's doing the absolute bare minimum a friend should do, and still feels she doesn't feel like she cares. Think of her as an even more emotional unavailable Lightning from FF13.
Everyone else is plain as a door, including the other main character Yuito. Dude is incredibly boring and I'm not gonna lie, I've skipped almost everything story related because I couldn't handle how uninteresting the setting was... well, except for Tsugumi because I found her cute. Waifus, am I right?

Oh yea, to increase your allies abilities you need to BOND with them. It's such, but such a slog; it feels like playing a freemium game but the currency you spend is time, the only thing you don't get back.

There's a crafting system but it's as barebones as one could get. Just... whatever, who cares.

With that said, I needed to justify my purchase and powered through this dull excuse of a game with a trainer. Sue me, alright? I wanted my money's worth and joke's on me because I still feel ripped off, even playing with no cooldowns, overleved characters and not getting hit. Yes, the game still feels like a drag even with cheats. It's absolutely ridiculous how many unnecessary hurdles the game creates. Ice level? Oh there's some ice barriers for no f**king reason for you to spend time hitting and ruin the pacing of the action, or lack thereof.

Whatever, this game sucks. There are better options out there for much cheaper so stay away from this dumpster fi-- actually the game is so boring that even a dumpster fire is more entertaining than this.

For a game that sells its combat as the main attraction, it's damn well unresponsive and clunky for the most time; cursor 'aim' my ass. If this game had the same ARPG mapping -- left click for moving AND attacking it would've been much, much better.

Everything else is soulless but pretty. I'm glad I didn't buy anything and waited to try it for free.

A wonderful but flawed gem that is redeemable by mods.

If you're still thinking about this game after the fiasco or if you just want more Mass Effect -- please give Andromeda a try.

After finishing the other BioWare debacle, Dragon Age: Inquisition, I needed to see what was Andromeda's thing all about. I knew it wasn't very well received just like DA:I but my curiosity was once again stronger than me and I am very glad I took the chance on this game.

I used these mods:

  • Quick Loot (All in One)
  • Fast Mining
  • Profiles Reworked
  • Road Rage
  • Fast Kadara Doors
  • ME:A Fix Pack
  • Powers Boosted and Balanced 1 & 2
  • Skill Points Version G
  • Beeg Inventory
  • Romance for All
  • Better Squadmates
  • Shorter Landing and Departure Cinematic
  • Hyper Mobility (Super jump and faster sprinting animations)
  • Balanced Guns
  • Weapon Bullet Hit and Range
  • Melee Weapon Boost
  • Increased Player Stats and 2x EXP points
  • Camera Mod
  • Better Grey Market Connections
  • Nomad Top Speed
  • Better Lab Technicians
  • And finally, some cosmetic mods.

Yup, that's a long ass list but it made my experience super engaging as you can see by how long it took me to do everything I wanted to do in the game.

I played as fem Ryder and finished every single affinity sidequest, even the ones not involving my teammates. I rescued all the arks, opened all the vaults (and unfortunately didn't get the Cryptographer achievement because I missed out on some containers) and got every single memory thingy for my Ryder.

I gotta say, the main quest is boring and predictable. The main villain, Archon, is a bit of a knob and stays hidden for the most part. This game feels like a saturday morning ME spin-off and if you treat is as such, it's going to be enjoyable. The future of the races is in your hands... kind of, Pathfinder. Murder the Kett! Geth? No, no. These are Kett! This Archon dude wants to wreck your shiz because why not. That's it, lets talk about the characters:

For me, the most important part of the game was my crew. I LOVE these characters and Vetra is by far my favourite. Such a well written turian character, with traumas that are relatable. She just wants to keep her sister Sid and everyone else she loves safe. Vetra Nyx was my choice for romance, even though I also romanced two other women (and I missed out on Suvi because to be with her you can't shoot for everyone; dang you monogamy) Vetra was the one who made my heart melt.

Peebee was my other romance and she is a LOT. Very reminiscent of Sera from DA:I but with much better footing and oozing charisma. She definitely has ADHD because she doesn't stop ONE SECOND. Hits a lil bit close to home but maybe that's why I enjoyed her company. She is flirty, a proper wild soul and her storyline can be a bit of a mess but it has a couple strong, emotional moments.

Drack... the old man has some baggage, over a thousand years of experience and a lot of sass. I enjoyed Drack for what he was but god, it did feel somewhat similar to Wrex, even some of the rougher choices later on the game. I however can't really compare both because Wrex had three games containing backstory and Drack only has this one but still, I wish they knew how to write krogans somewhat different than our boi Wrexy.

Liam sucks. He is the worst character in this game and a serious candidate for the worst in the series, maybe not as charismatic than Vega but definitely not as boring as Jacob. Liam is childish, he tries too hard to fit in and I couldn't care less about him in the slightest. He butts heads with everybody and judges the crew with zero basis whatsoever. I wish I could just throw him away but he has the funniest affinity mission with very well done comedic timing. My Ryder is very sarcastic and casual but, with this dude, I drew the line. Definitely proceed with caution with Liam.

Cora is the perfect military partner, in my honest opinion. She's the much better Ashley AND with zero racism! She tries very hard to deal with how life treats her, especially after unfolding the events of the beginning of the game. She treats Ryder with utmost respect and she's a sweetheart. Her sidemission with the asari commandos is super emotional and I highly recommend it. Also all she wants is to have and take care of her own garden! How can you not find that wonderful?

Jaal... oh Jaal. The angara species are such a wonderful concept but Jaal's writing is extremely inconsistent. He fails to understand idioms but he is also very sarcastic when needed to be. He is stern but not really, easy going and cheerful and suddenly emotional. Jaal is all over the place, which makes me think -- is his writing just a bunch of people winging it and not revising anything or is Jaal just f**king with me the entire time? I think the former because I'd be giving the writers too much credit. Definitely do Jaal's quests because even though he is tough to read, he is very relatable too and will touch your heartstrings with everything he has. Also, what a voice.

Suvi, Lexi, Kallo and Gil are four great characters for what they are. I wish Suvi had more character development but whoever decided to make a salarian the pilot deserves a lot of praise. What a wonderful character Kallo is and his feud with Gil is seriously amazing, please do yourself a favour and chat with them a lot about it. Lexi is a very by the rules doctor but talking to her reveals such a touching side to the doc. Gil's sidequest took a crazy turn and I cannot spoil for you guys. Just don't miss out on these characters, they're worth it.

Now, Ryder... well, they're definitely not Shepard and they're not trying to be. They were thrown into the role of Pathfinder and now they gotta do what they can. I didn't hate how much of a slow burn the first few hours are but there are some selection of choices you can make with your Ryder in regards to their family that really piqued my interest -- how emotionally unavailable their father was and how much they resent their dad. I loved how it was written because it hits home to lose someone so soon and not feel much of grief, or not knowing how to deal with it. Their sibling having a lil bit of screentime made me happy. You can see how much they care about each other (not in the Alabama way.)

Now for the rest of Mass Effect Andromeda's features: The combat is spectacular, it feels fluid and the weapons + powers with mods feel extremely rewarding. Also I was super overpowered but you get the idea. Charge is HILARIOUS.

Sidequests can be painfully BORING because they make you jump from planet to planet for no dang reason. I just finished a quest in Kadara but hey go to Elaaden just because. Come on, this feels very MMORPG-esque and it made me groan every time. Do all of them, however, if you're interested in the lore as I was and the background of the characters. I feel these quests kind of get forgotten because of how annoying having to constantly watch the Tempest take flight and land... god. But yes, the world of Andromeda is definitely worth exploring and the only thing I wish I could've done was put a bullet in Reyes' head, other than that I enjoyed this game more than I thought I would and I hope you do to.

In general, the achievements can be stupid to get (Strike Team Missions) so I didn't go full force but, I did a lot of them and had fun even with the weird ass Hang Time (use a controller for that one). Do the Fastball one, it's funny as hell.

To finish it, I will miss Vetra and I hope they let us play as different races in the next Mass Effect. My GOD I love the turians so much. Put your two favourites and spend time just exploring the planets driving the Nomad and they will interact a lot. I was always riding with my two girlfriends, the spiky one and the carefree one and they are hilarious.

Play this game with mods; maybe not as many as me but give this game a chance. It deserves it for the characters alone.

This game isn't just terrible, it also has unskippable ending credits.

Sonic Forces tries to be a bad 3D Sonic game without any of the charm of the bad games and it fails, completely.

The game as a whole is an unfinished project, if I can call it as such. The levels are barely levels, they're just... annoyances for the most part. The levels where you can just boost and send robots flying are cool but few and far between. I kept trying to see how much worse it could become and boy, was I surprised...

The boss fights are atrocious; one you can win by simply holding the flamethrower button and others are genuinely frustrating - I had no boost left and I couldn't reach the boss for the final hit, so I was just stuck there because the game wasn't giving me any boosts. Fun getting soft-locked at the LAST PART of the boss fight, having to retry everything, isn't it?

The custom avatar idea is interesting but your character is just... there. It would make no difference if you just played as one of the other characters because honestly, the story also goes nowhere but lets recycle Infinite THRICE hell yeah! What a boring character with an even worse gimmick.

This crap is super short and lacks any redeemable qualities other than the classic Sonic is pretty cute and fat. I love him.

Stay away from this trash. Go play the MUCH BETTER Sonic Generations.

The ultimate Yu-Gi-Oh! experiences for newbs and veterans alike.

When the game released in January 2022 I decided to learn the game all over again, since the last time I played actual YGO was before all the Synchro, Xyz stuff came out and surprisingly, through my ADHD I'm still here... addicted and Yugipilled.

Building decks is pure fun. The game gives you a TON of gems when you start so you can build whatever deck you may enjoy right away, or if you're like me and prefer the gimmicky stuff or new and old meta decks with twists like Branded Despia Darklord, Harpie's Tri-Brigade and P.U.N.K. Tenyi Swordsoul or even adding my favourite Golden Boi to every archetype I want; you can do it too. The point is that you can simply build whatever you want... just beware that after a while you need to do the dailies and participate in events to get gems.

You can still get 1k gems consistently every week or so by letting your dailies stack up and doing them all in one day. Yes, you don't need to play every single day.

There's still a ton of content to come since we're behind the TCG/OCG by a bit but at least the banlists are making more sense here than over on the TCG side of things where the mine is still surprisingly mystic.

Save up your UR tokens for staple stuff like a playset (3 of if not limited) Ash Blossom, Maxx C, Called by the Grave and such so your climb to Diamond is easier... and about climbing, the game doesn't really reward progression. Your best bet is to get to Gold I every season (they last a month) so when it resets, you go back to Silver V and it's free 1k gems once again when you hit Gold I with ease since Plat and Diamond the sweat is real, which is fine, just frustrating sometimes. I got to Diamond once and never really tried again; I prefer staying in Gold to play my gimmick stuff and it's how I enjoy the game.

Solo mode is pretty good with nice stories and goodies alongside gems to obtain. I still want a proper singleplayer mode for the game and PvE events like in Duel Links but I guess we'll see if they will implement it or not. My hopes are up!

What is missing in my opinion are faster animations, a somewhat faster and fluid gameplay so we don't spend 5 minutes watching our opponents combo or whatever and a proper singleplayer mode like I've just mentioned.

Progression is fun and opening packs is just pure adrenaline, especially whenever a UR appears so it feeds my reward incentive like nothing else. Come over and enjoy the game! It's totally F2P and easy to get in thanks to the tutorials (there are many) but very hard to 'master', as if there's such a thing in Yu-Gi-Oh! Misplays are a feature of every player and we don't read cards anyway.
