Narration felt pretty good, narratively speaking. Not just picking up random diaries, there is a good reason to hear someone talking all the time.

Visually appealing. Satisfying audio design.

Disliked:
Despite nice looking, sometimes I got the enemies confused for one another. Some of them can look very similar.

The new actions are fun to try out, but there isn't really anything "better" than the original actions. It doesn't get more useful than "Crash" and "Breach", your first two attacks and you will find yourself just using those for most of the game.

While dodging demons, eating hearts, and generally kaboom,
Pause the game to appreciate the great artistry of DOOM.
While at first it seems a clone of Wolfenstein before,
DOOM outruns it's brother at a pace you will adore

It's got a Saints Row vibe as a fantasy of power.
The environments are neat, though the reds seem a little dour.
Weapons are all good and each can be a blast
Worth the sale price as the campaign will go by fast

Fun little game, doesn't take long. Narrator is interesting, but doesn't feel as groundbreaking as it might sound (or the reviews back when it was released made it sound).

Liked it a lot. Sequences designed around the rewind mechanic are fun and interesting. Thematically, the story incorporates it pretty well.

Very satisfying and intense single player game. Clearly defined but not explicit "levels" allow breathers in between very intense sequences. Final boss fight was underwhelming (on Hard. Not sure what it is like at higher levels.) There is a hanger fight that made me crazy until I could figure it out.
