Great laid back game with fun side puzzles and easter eggs. Solid 8/10 in my books. Absolutely worth every penny at $15 but not bad for a $20 price tag game.

Where most cleaning games feel tedious, this one feels more lenient with its 100% cleaning parameters to avoid those magnifying glass moments to endlessly search for a tiny spec. One let down is that replayability is essentially non-existent after fulling completing every achievement. Would love to see a DLC thats sizable to range of the Art Museum or bigger. A sequel cannot come come fast enough!

Score: 8.5/10*

*Half score point is because of the small selection of classes

This game is amazing with friends and can easy have you blowing a whole afternoon away from just the sheer fun you can have building decks that synergies with your party. The game can feel a little wonky at first but sticks the landing when you get the groove down. Also, $25 feels a little steep for entry price but is 100% worth it at $15 or less

If you’re like me, you ignored this game completely since launch. Rightfully so (considering the OG community’s opinion), but boy has this game done a 180! Much like No Man’s Sky, this game has overhauled a lot of its fundamentals in lots of positive ways to bring it up to snuff. I will say the game gets a little janky but that’s Bethesda and if you can ignore it in Skyrim, you can ignore it here. 76 very much plays like a Fallout game with friends (or solo if you wanna ignore everyone). Being in a party only gives perks, even having a specific team type just to chill in while you quest and do your things that brings an XP buff. I’ve been very happy with my experience to the point that I bought Fallout 1st with zero regrets!

Pros:
-No specific play style type (ie solo or grouped)
-Crafting and base building finally have a purpose unlike in Fallout 4 (IMO)
-With crafting being huge, plans and recipes already know can be sold through your own vendor so you can buy what you can’t find
-Variety of builds for end game
-Beautifully crafted world
-Pretty well written dialog and story
-Events can be done at (almost) any level
-Seemingly endless things to do between quests, expeditions, and events
-All loot other than ground loot is instanced!!!
-Legendary perks give a reason to keep leveling and feel fun
-Most of the important base utilities can be unlocked through quest or a little grinding

Neutral:
-No followers
-Enemy health scaling as you level can be a little awkward towards level 50 (forces you into a build around this point)
-Quiet a few things can’t be done in Power Armor
-No mantling in this game can make it feel dated
-Voice chat isn’t used too much

Cons:
-New players can grief events by starting them early (some events require items to start)
-Rotating Battlepass (Scoreboard)
-Scoreboard can be a big grind
-No upgradable weight system outside of putting more points in STR
-No upgradable stash system (this is a huge incentive to get 1st which is scummy)
-Building is very annoying to get what you want done (also little flat land to build on)
-Quest choices don’t matter in the slightest
-Some quest are also still bugged (but not totally broken)
-Many of the good base decoration are locked behind atoms in the shop
-Rolling for specific legendary armor/weapon abilities can be a huge grind (this is at least endgame content anyway)
-Currency limits for pretty much all currencies
-Base building limits and limited area to build in

Overall: 7.5/10
(Would be 8 if Fallout 1st wasn’t a thing and the perks were obtainable in game)

This game is peak when its on sale. Quick to finish and just dumb enough humor. Just flippin' eggs. Not much else and that's somehow not bad

7/10 for a boomer shooter. The upgrades are a little lackluster and the secrets could be a little more creative. I personally dislike how the story is fleshed out in weird comicbook clips (not the cutscenes). A big redeeming quality is the art if you can appreciate it during all the chaos. Pick it up if you want a quick old school Doom-like adventure

Get it so you can be ahead of your friends; then laugh at them in numbers you didn't know, and aren't sure even, existed in the first place.

You know when grandma shows you pictures of when shes was hot and young, wishing she could be that pretty and relevant again? Imagine you hired top tier plastic surgeons and makeup artist to help her relive that feeling. Years go by and her rehabilitated state comes pushed out on a gurney. She's absolutely stunning again just like in her youth, but the doctors tell you she died during the procedures. Complication due to old age but they decided to carry on to show off their hard work. She will forever be preserved in her updated appearance though.
This game is that. Its dead. Or at least most of it is. While decorated nice with eye candy, this game has not aged well. The combat is atrocious with guns feeling empty and weightless. Puzzles are fun and will often remind you of where it all started for games like Portal. But the long empty corridors, meaningless filler fights, and monotonous platforming leave much to be desired. Of course, this is a 20+ year old game with a new coat of paint at the time of this review. What else are people to expect when trying to revive such an old game.
Not to come off as if there isn't fun to be had while playing Black Mesa. The story is original along with the environment and sound track! Plenty to immerse yourself in, until you fight a human who take multiple headshots from a rifle or you get aimbotted by the snipers and turrets. A lot of the difficulty feels artificial with that being reinforced by the checkpoint systems if you don't personally utilize the quick save/quick load feature. I'd still recommend this game because for it's time it was revolutionary; kicking off a story generations would come to grow up with and love. Just try hard to look past the outdated mechanics and you'll find a game with a lot of heart that most lack nowadays.

Doubled my play time since I last reviewed this game. If you haven't bought this game you're not doing yourself any favors. It's worth it at any price and so are the DLC. Between the DLC and mods there is infinite fun here. The ways you can break this game and make your computer scream, or just basically bench test it are almost incomparable to many roguelike counterparts. Easy 10/10 for me
