I thought I had seen bad updates for this game before.

I knew NOTHING.

This one takes the cake.
Kill weapon crafting in a hunting game, remove tons of player progression with absolute ♥♥♥♥ compensation, add in even more predatory microtransactions, make getting all weapons not possible without paying due to how slow you earn resources, remove things people payed for with premium currency and reward them in non premium less important currency, make cells consumable so you can't use the same piece of armour in multiple builds, move to UE5 lowering FPS while breaking the lighting system.

I'm genuinely impressed that this is such a bad update. I had hope all these years, that they could recapture the magic of the game pre escalations. It's dead. They evidently don't know what they made back then or how they did it. It's time for me to never think about this game again.

Fantastic game. It's short, funny and greatly enjoyable. Both the Curator and SHI's voicework is great. The writing was good. This has been sitting in my library for a bit, and after playing it, I wish I gave it a shot sooner.

This game is amazing. Straight up; no ifs, ands or buts about it. It does fall short in some areas compared to previous titles, for example the vehicle selection is tiny compared to ARMA2 but this will likely change over the course of the game's life as BI is releasing new content in sections like the campaign. Then of course there are the myriad of mods to tide you over :).

If you're at all into Milsim or Hardcore FPS games you're probably going to love this. The game's biggest strength is simply that you can do almost anything you want with it. You want to drive into the target area with a sub, swim to shore and rise out of the water like a Navy S.E.A.L? You can do that. Want to fly in in an AH-6 loaded for bear? You can do that. Want to fly a jet? Drive a tank? Skydive in? Attack at night? Use a mortar? Be a sniper? Fly an attack heli? Or just go in as a rifleman? ARMA 3's got you covered. It's as advertised...the ultimate military sandbox. Probably going to be my favourite or one of my favourite games of 2013 and 2014 especially in terms of longevity.
