I was worried after the disappointment that was their last game, Cyan would somehow find a way to screw this up. Thankfully all i well, and is a faithful yet modern feeling remake of the original.

There is something satisfying in cleaning, especially in a cute and comforting manner. I look forward to see what the developers come up with next.

I remember reading someone say how this game perfectly captures the political landscape into game form, where it is all about the people around you. Your advisers is what enables you to do everything in the game, they make your will come true. It makes for the most true to life political game there is, one focused on the people and the journey they go though.

This really is enough content to be considered a squeal. If you enjoyed the main story then this is everything you could ever want from it.

This game has everything I could ever want in a space building sim, with more amazing things always being added over time.

I regret buying this game, even on sale as it is a mediocre title at best. At first the story had me engaged the near future technology and a mystery that of some bigger thing that you don;t know about. But as the game progressed, I became disillusioned, where by the fifth chapter I had stopped caring and have no desire to continue playing. I also was not a fan of how the game tried to break up the exploration with puzzles which themselves were ok, but felt forced, like they were there solely to try and give you something different to do, but they were not fun or enjoyable to solve. Then there was the rock climbing sections which I absolutely hated, playing with a Mouse and Keyboard was painful, as it was clearly designed with a controller triggers in mind. This added a layer of action that was not needed in any way to the game, as the story had enough suspense going on, until that is even the story I became disillusioned with too. What started off as near-future tech, turned into a weird amalgamation of sci-fi mixed in with it where more and more things that were previously grounded in reality, were being hand-waved away as some ahead of its time tech that seemed less and less plausible to exist in the world that had been shown to me up until that point.

I did not expect a party system and choices that matter from a old school point and click adventure game. I'm lad I finally decided to buy and play it, as it was well worth the time to do so. I have nothing but praise for the game.

This is a rather painful one to write. The game isn't "bad" per se, but when compared against Cyan's legacy, it is probably one of id not worst game they have put out. While I'm not some old school Cyan fan, I do have deep respect and admiration for the company for what they have achieved int he past, ad how they have managed to stay afloat, even if it is in a severally reduced capacity from their glory days. Still, I don;t think that is an excuse for the how the game turned out. There is still a very distinct kind of game that people expect from a "Cyan" game which has some rather high standards to meet which is not easy to do which this game fails on, yet even when compared to Obduction, their most recent game, it falls short of that too.

I really hope this is just a one off and not a new standard for Cyan, as if they continue down this path they will likely just utterly destroy their legacy which will be the most disappointing part of all.

Even though so many years have passed, I, like many others still believe Cyan has the talent and energy to do what they have always done best, as the environments in this game are the same quality you come to know from them. Which is why it is a shame that everything else is some major steps behind. Maybe with time and resources some changes and additions can be made to the game, otherwise I hope this is taken as a real wake up call for whatever comes next.
