Very chill, relaxing game. Little to no challenge. If you need a smooth game to unwind with after a long week at work, this is the one. A clean visual aesthetic with relaxing music should put you right at ease. You can mostly ignore the story, it's pretty uninteresting.

The best game in the series, and an all-around fantastic horror-action game.

I wasn't prepared for how good this game was. There have only been a handful of times where a game has hit me so hard that I knew I'd never forget it. DDLC is one of those very special few, right up there with games like Journey and Abzu. This game made me feel emotions that I've never experienced in a video game, like love, truly terrifying horror, and pity.

If you are like me and don't normally go in for visual novels or anime, I STRONGLY implore you to put that aside and play this game anyways. Play it until it hooks you; you'll know what I mean. Push through the long-winded high school girl drama until you finally discover why I'm recommending this game so adamantly. I promise that it'll be worth your time.

The ultimate "Oooh, what's that over there?" game. I could get completely lost in this game and still be having fun the whole way.

Great mod that'll scratch that Half-Life itch while waiting for Half-Life 3.

This game made me ♥♥♥♥ my pants so much that I ran out of fresh pants and had to go wash laundry so I could ♥♥♥♥ all of my pants again from playing this game.

In all seriousness, this game is truly a loveletter to the original Alien movie, and is honestly the most soul-grippingly terrifying game I have ever played. Also, the GRAPHICS and AUDIO are just so damn perfect! I've played my fair share of Crysis 3, and this game is second in fidelty only to that. This is going to sound insane, and I can't believe I'm writing this, but for this first few hours of my first playthrough, I was convinced that this game was too realistic and scary for me, because the amazing graphics, unsettlingly amazing audio, and overall game feel were just so overwhelmingly scary and atmospheric. I was put off by how enveloping it was (and is); it is just that good.

Worth paying full price. If you love atmospheric horror and/or the Alien franchise, but especially if you love the first Alien movie more than all the rest combined: this is the game you've waited all of your life for.
