It would be useful if game developers put server down times in GMT. By doing this, everyone can easily calculate down times and make arrangements. Afterall, the internet is accessable to the whole planet, not just North America.

Having trouble connecting to a MP server? try filtering directly through the Steam Server lists under the View tab to bypass game proxy. The game client is just an interface to this server list and can cause issues when attempting to join some game servers. This method bypasses the client and connects you directly to the server you're after and boots the game.
