I don’t mind the lack of OVR in the game (even though I understand the frustration of other players who rely on it to play it), but what REALLY turned me off was the loot rework.

It’s one thing to make the game challenging, but this is ridiculous. Imagine going on a loot run on silo or island, killing npcs and other players trying to kill you, only for you to find 4 - 5 crates/containers that either of NOTHING in them, or just a candy bar and spoon. Some people, like myself, prefer not to go on high risk loot runs, so this rework honestly makes playing this game not even worth it.

And I don’t understand their mindset for doing this. It doesn’t even make it challenging. It just makes it frustrating. In EFT unlooted containers will still have SOME degree of loot in them, provided that it hasn’t been looted by another player. It would make a lot more sense if there were lower tier weapons in weapons cases or just attachments/magazines compared to just nothing at all. I had more fun playing older builds than this current one, which is sad. Why waste my hunger/thirst/stamina if I know it’s not gonna be worth it anyway?

I do not recommend this game with the current loot system in place.

I've played this game I think 3 times now, but I've spaced out the times i've played it, so each time I started a new playthrough I still get terrified. Everything about this game is super well-done.

...And yes, it is MILES better than Amnesia: Rebirth in every possible way. Frictional Games really dropped the ball with Rebirth (and I'm still trying to figure out how and why). Like, seriously. How do you go from rich, interesting and horrifying storytelling to a dull, uninteresting and un-scary game? I'm disappointed. Buy this game. Play this game. It's better. WAY better.

This game is very fun and dynamic. There are many ways to change the plot in this game. Its kinda like "InFAMOUS" exept with crappier graphics. Although the graphics are not as good, I still had alot of fun with this 2001 release game.

Trust me. You are going to love it.
