A super chill, relaxing game. You can fritter away your troubles and half the day away just building cool fantasy castles and villages. Highly recommend.

If you love Cyberpunk at all, then you owe it to yourself to pickup this "digital toy" because it's AWESOME and the price is right for all that you get and what you get is Townscaper if it had been designed by Ridley Scott and Syd Mead. I LOVE Cyberpunk and this is so much fun to play around with and chill. Fiddling with the buildings, adding in my own text and images for building signs, adding traffic, smoke stacks, all sorts of built-in doo-dads to complete your Blade Runner-esque metropolis. Oh yeah, and of course, rain and fog to top it all off. The camera controls are buttery smooth and the screenshot mode is great and even has a camera motion widget to move the camera from one position to another over 5 to 30 seconds to create a cool vibe - it would be nice if you could record that as a video natively but maybe that will happen later. I can't wait to see what features get added down the road.

This is a brilliantly fun RPG that combines elements from survival games and various other RPGs into a cute little 2D pixel 3/4 top-down game. Yes it has some bugs, yes it could benefit from a bigger inventory, yes it could use an experience system...yada yada yada but, it's still damn fun to play and what is here is more than a just a "good start". The building and crafting is quite fun - I love crafting and collecting stuff to add to my house (which I keep expanding) and the mechanic of getting NPCs to join you're burgeoning little community if you build them a furnished house is cool and fun to do! I have my own mining cart trolley system I can ride to and from my own home, my NPCs homes, and the mines - how cool is that?! I got it on sale but worth every penny at full price.

Diablo what now? Don't get me wrong, I loved me some old-school Diablo I & II back in the day but lost interest with Diablo III and haven't even considered Diablo IV what with Blizzard's ridiculous pricing and all. This seven year old game is just SO awesome in every way and has SO much bang for the buck that Diablo IV is just a hard nope. You owe it to yourself to play this!

A very fresh take on the Stardew Valley-type farming sim but with a lot of great ideas and mechanics that make this game imminently playable! I love the tribal lifestyle and all of the accurate flora and fauna you can start planting and raising and eventually domesticating. I love all of the interesting tribal lore that you learn piece by piece through storytelling and cave paintings to keep you engaged. I like that you can mine for useful rocks and minerals such as flint and various gemstones that you can have a tribal craftsman fashion into jewelry that gives you stat boosts. I love that you can create your own paintings a la cave-style to decorate your tent, which is upgradeable. I like the idea system that has your fellow tribesman coming up with ways to advance in knowledge adding useful technology to your farm such as irrigation, much to the benefit of you and the tribe. On top of that, there's just a ton of QoL improvements from other games in the genre and it's clear this a big labor of love from devs who are clearly game players. A game that honors its Stardew roots but branches off in its own, unique direction. If you like the genre of pixelated farming sims, you owe it to yourself to pickup and try Roots of Pacha.

Tense, eerie, mysterious, and atmospheric as hell! The story thus-far has been great and the game play equal parts relaxing and frantic and while the fishing mechanics themselves aren't too hard you do start to feel a sense of urgency as you try to get your fish into your hold and moving again before the sun goes down. Weird things happen when the sun goes down and the fog roles in. I haven't even explored that much or delved too deep into what lies out there in the night but the want to do so is tempered with the tension and fear of the unknown the game and its story are able to develop. There are a decent amount of upgrades for your gear and boat but everything is a trade-off in terms of function, cost, and space. You have to think about how best to maximize your gear while keeping enough cargo space to hold fish and other things you dredge up. A most excellent indie game for sure and likely to be one of the best this year. I bought the pre-purchase and the Blackstone Key at full price for each just minutes before launch time and I think it was well worth it.

Where has this game been all my life?! Seriously, this scratches an itch for spaceship building I didn't know I had. I find myself getting addicted to it and I'm only still playing the career mode. It's SUPER easy to pickup and learn and if you're anything like I am and love tinkering and building games, you'll soon be going over ship designs and modifications in your head over and over again getting things *just* right and then hunting down some pirate scum to test out your changes. It's a great game with a lot to do but if it only had the ability to build ships and go out and blast things to smithereens with those ships, it would still be worth the money. As it is, there is asteroid mining, wreck salvage, pirate hunting, exploration, unknown encounters, trading, and factions on top of the building and blasting and I'm sure I'm leaving something to do out. One final bit; Can I just say that the blueprint mode of ship construction is absolutely *GENIUS*! It allows you to add and subtract ship components to your existing ship and play with design changes without being constrained by money or placement rules so you can work out a design BEFORE spending any cash or resources and if you leave the blueprint window and come back later, maybe to accumulate those resources or cash needed to implement the changes you worked out, it's still there waiting for you to press a button and instantly make those changes from your blueprint. GENIUS! Seriously, if you like space games and/or building games, you owe it to yourself to give this one a try.

I had purchased Graveyard Keeper back in 2018 when it first came out because other reviewers had said it was a lot like a more grownup Stardew Valley which I love a lot. After about an hour, it felt overwhelming and there wasn't much in the way of guidance making it feel a bit boring so I refunded it. Fast forward to 2022 and I just picked it up on sale and gave it another try after reading other reviewers talking about how they also found it a bit overwhelming at the start but that if you stuck to it, you would find it rewarding and there would be tons and tons of cool things to do and the game opens up and becomes vastly more interesting. I couldn't resist at the sale price so I started it back up again from scratch and this time, I found it to be more interesting and for whatever reason (I don't know if they added more in the way of a tutorial or if I just had more patience and was a bit more open to it) I found it a lot easier to get going. It really does feel to me like a more sarcastic, more funny, more adult version of Stardew Valley! I'm now hooked! The learning curve is there but it really isn't that steep (certainly doesn't feel as steep to me as it did back in 2018) and if you just stick with it a bit in the beginning and get your church reopened, the game really starts to take off. If you love SDV or games like it, pick this up, even if you miss the sale - it's definitely worth it. Yanking skulls out of corpses and slicing their flesh up to trade before heaving the body in the river - 10/10

I'm not a huge fan of the more hardcore colony survival-type games like Rimworld and so I went into Noble Fates with more than a bit of skepticism but it seemed so fun in the video preview I just had to give it a try. Once I started playing, I found it to be more approachable, and for me at least, more likable than other titles in this genre. It sucked me in. It is super fun to build your first shelter and evolve it all the way into a house and then into a bigger house or a house with several out-buildings or perhaps underground storage or whatever. I like building and improving. Gathering resources and dealing with the personalities of your little people or outsiders from other kingdoms isn't as difficult as it is in other games and I think it strikes a nice balance and makes the gameplay enjoyable. The graphics, IMHO, are really spot-on for this game and pretty attractive and add a certain flair to the game. The developer seems to really love the game and continues to add significant gameplay elements to it that I find unique, well thought out and implemented, and quite enjoyable. This gets two thumbs up from me and if you like colony builder survival games or even if they're not your favorite type of game, I highly recommend you give this a try, I think it will surprise you.

A very fun game and a real surprise! I wasn't expecting a lot when I tried the demo but it turned out to be tons of fun with great progression and a super cool aesthetic. I was hooked! I pre-ordered the full game almost immediately and don't regret it one bit. The full release has some really cool additional animated extras to make the maps a bit more interesting, some really fun to find artifacts and several new unlocks. The sword dome adds new strategy and an increased difficulty. Unlocking different sized maps adds a little variety and allows you to tailor the run for how much time you want to spend playing. The developer continues to update the game with additional unique gameplay elements that I find quite enjoyable. This is totally worth the full price and I can't wait to see what the devs have in store for it down the road!
