A challenging, fresh take on Metroidvania gameplay

I enjoyed playing this game a lot. It was engaging, and combat was satisfying and varied. It has lots of weapons and powers that all felt unique which really allowed you to really find your favorite play style. The game clearly takes its inspiration from Castlevania, which is fine, but it does gets a little close to feeling like an outright copy at some points.

There are a few points were the game gets a little grindy, especially at higher difficulties when you want to farm for specific shards/items. I also got this vague feeling that the game was kickstarted, which I confirmed later it was, because of a weird amount of cat and dog based enemies.

Overall: 8/10

A cute, unique little puzzle game. Enjoyable but short.

While the core game mechanic was interesting, I would say that only the last level presented any kind of challenge or built on the game mechanics at all. They could have easily doubled the game length and added some cool challenges but it feels like the target demographic for the game is meant for kids around 10-15

An enjoyable RTS/park management game set in the Jurassic Park universe. While this game is clearly piggybacking off the publicity of the movies, the devs did a fairly good job making a game that was more interesting than the Jurassic World movie.

Although fun for a while, the game quickly runs out new missions and tasks for you to perform and the campaign becomes more of a repetitive grind than challenging. Money is only an issue in the first 10-15 min of a level, once you have a few dinos in the park you make so much money that building costs become meaningless. All in all, the game is very simple and lacks the depth and complexity of similar management games. Play for fun, not for a challenge.

A really unique experience. While the graphics obviously aren't cutting edge, this game does a great job drawing you into its story of corporate intrigue that starts off ridiculous and but quickly takes a sinister turn.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. A little short, but very much worth the money.

You are an insurance agent trying to discover what happened on the ship Obra DInn, that mysteriously returned to England after being lost at sea with all her crew missing. You do this with the use of a notebook and pocket-watch that allows you to view the exact moment of death of any bodies you find.

Despite that premise, the most unbelievable part of this game is that the insurance company actually pays out at the end of the game.

9.5/10, highly recommend

An excellent tactical turn-based space combat game.

skirmishes are quick, fun and have plenty of strategies to try and gain the advantage over your opponents. The campaign is similar to a stripped down version of XCOM2, with a focus on preserving units and strengthening relationships with colonies to increase income. I also appreciated the strong attempt to follow the Galactica lore as much as possible with both ship designs and the story.

unique, fun, and addicting!

An adventure/exploration/puzzle game with strong metroidvania feel. A fantastic environment that organically expands as more ability are unlocked. Combat that ramps up overtime really entices hunting for all the upgrades/secrets. Numerous pop culture and video game easter eggs also make exploration really enjoyable

The game does have some minor issues, its a little light on story and there are a few points when the game could have used a little more polish. It didn't really impact my enjoyment of the game though.

Chucklefish: "Hey Intelligent Systems, can i copy your Advanced Wars homework?"
Intelligent Systems: " Sure, just make sure you change it a bit before you turn it in so the teacher doesn't think you copied me."
Chucklefish: "uhh...ok sure, I think i can do that."

Its times like this I wish Steam had a "Meh" or "just ok" rating. It wasn't really a bad game, but its not worth 20 dollars

This game is a puzzle/exploration game similar to "The Room", and by similar I mean basically the same but with a hurried unpolished feel. While there are several excellent puzzles, a vast majority of my play time was spent randomly clicking on things, looking for the one completely invisible part of the room that would solve the one puzzle I was allowed to work on.

Did you ever ask your mom to buy you LEGOS when you were a kid? Well "The Room" is like LEGOS, and "The House of Da Vinci" is like the MEGA BLOKS she got you instead and tried to convince you it was just as good.
